Is one much better than the other? Is the JKS solid like the IRO or hollow?

The JKS rear trackbar is hollow, and both bars use standard polyurethane bushings. Currently I'm running the JKS bar, no complaints at all.

If I didn't get the JKS bar secondhand for cheap, and if I was piecing together a lift kit again, I'd probably go IRO. JKS is good, but expensive. IRO is much more competitive, and forming the bar out of solid steel is nice.

Neither. Install any "drop" bracket onto the axle mount and weld it on. Once the extension bracket is welded onto the stock bracket add further support adding steel to triangulate the the whole bracket to axle tube. With the axle side track bar bolt 2 or 3 inches higher you can run the stock rear track bar up to around 5 inches of lift. The stock bar is solid stock and uses rubber bushings at both ends. Two rubber bushings worth of give or shock absorption is way better than hard poly in the rear TB application. You want solid, rigid and hard to describe a front TB setup due to needs like steering accuracy. The rear suspension's job is inherently different. There is lots of side to side slamming impacting the rear of a wheeler. Twisting through tight trees or obstacles can send powerful blows straight into the side of the axle assembly. The stock rubber bushings absorb enough of these shocks that your uniframe side TB mount will live through years of abuse. Not to mention far fewer bent axle shaft flanges.

For history reference, I beat the crap out of my rear SA'ed ZJ for over a year like that. Never had an issue. Rear axle centered up just fine at 5ish inches lift and 35s.A couple years later I bought the Pacifier with a JKS rear bar installed. Previous owner had ripped off the uniframe side once and repaired it. I rebuilt the whole thing with 3/16 and 1/4 plate after it started to tear off again on me. Just wanted to relay my experience.

I guess you missed the "adjustable" part. I have ran brackets before and they are the cheap bastard way of doing things, plus all of that rusty welded up steel looks like it belongs on some white trash backwoods rig. I currently have the IRO fixed rear bar for a 4.5 in lift that works well, but if I am loaded up or towing it pushes the axle to the driver side and causes the passenger tire to rub my RE coil spring. So I need the adjust-ability.

I would go with IRO personally as they're trackbars seem better to me (personal preference).

Ive met Horus and he knows his stuff. He's beat the living shit out of his zj's and knows what he's talking about. But that's me.

I love my IRO Rear Trac Bar.

I beat the shit out of it too. Both are good choices.. IRO is just as strong.. but better priced.

Adjusting a trackbar everytime you tow or load up the back would be a PITA. Why not just do a triangulated setup where ride height will not impact lateral position of the axle?

Gladly, give me the money to do it and I will, ha ha!

I will order the IRO bar and call it good.

Some practice with a welder and a can of spray paint goes a long way in making an otherwise great mod look far less white trashy. Even if you blow more coin on another aftermarket rear bar you still want to beef up the axle side track bar/ upper control arm mount tower. It will rip off with even light use eventually. I have helped welded back on three torn brackets either on the trail or at the campground. I don't weld but I have an OBW just in case someone else in need can.Adding a bracket to the axle mount will flatten out the rear TB as well, regardless of what type you use. This will keep your passenger rear tire out of the coil ( TB too long.)
