Yep that is me. Lol. For the record, it wasn't in there to hold it as a fix. It was in there to hold it to try and weld it. But as soon as it was welded I drove off and snapped again with the slightest touch of the skinny pedal. Was irritated with it. Brought extra money for if it did break.

Can't forget disintegrated bumpstops John - the hockey pucks in my trail kit fixed that lickety-split though

Hahaha no problem, I will say it was a TOTAL bonehead move to risk all the passengers safety, to trek hundreds of miles, doorless down interstate highways on a "might hold" upper control arm fix.

That being said, I had fun wheeling with you and your passengers. All good people, and we had a great time.

So from here on out, (as with Torque bolt and Zap Strap) You have earned a new title, I shall dub thee, "Sheetmetal Screw".

We did have a few good sheet metal screw jokes the rest of the day, but just like Neil said, we enjoyed having you guys on the trail and I look forward to having you guys out next year, hopefully with some long arms!

Oh no Neil, I made the trek with the doors on. I took them off for the trail. I had been driving on it a few months with no progression in damage. I knew it would hold in the highway. Granted it took Kane Creek and Hell's Revenge to get it to rip off on the nasty ledge. I had a tone of fun meeting you new people and wheeling with ya. I will proudly take the Nick name Sheet Metal Screw. Lol
