    Post up what broke.

I didn't fair too bad; despite running with the big boys on rusty nail and pritchet (dragged through).

I cracked a weld on my front bumper, destroyed the axle-side track bar bushing and bent the belly skid (pushed up 2"). The latter is saying something since it is 1/4" steel plate backed up by 1-1/2" tube. I also have a new vibration on the highway which could be anything froma drive shaft to a missing wheel weight.

You did damn well on Rusty Nail too! I was impressed to say the least. You should've had that obstacle with all the boulders.

My damage report isn't bad, I just need to build a new rear driveshaft since I tagged this one pretty good. Then replace the front axle end driveshaft u-joint...the joint has a shattered cap. I think that's about it, or at least all I know of...

Some tack welds on my exhaust hanger broke (combination of not wanting to weld next to my gas tank and exhaust hitting a rock). I call that a good trip

Bent my unibody by hitting a ledge too hard. Made the ledge, but now I need to straighten the body.

Behind Clayton's LCA mount (rear passenger side), the unibody is pushed up. The rear passenger LCA threaded rod is also bent, the square tubing part of the arm is straight. The passenger "C" pillar has two crinkles and the passenger "B" pillar has a little crinkle and "bows" out.

Both passenger side doors do not line up when closed. The driver's side passenger door does not line up either. Before Bryant did a little door bending for me, you had to open the rear passenger door before the front passenger door could be opened. The doors overlapped. I should have taken a pic, the gaps were pretty big.

I need to take it to a frame straightening place and see what they can do. Then build a stiffer sub frame with integral rock sliders. Maybe add a cage for more stiffness.

    ----

After running Rose Garden Hill yesterday and driving home, a very loud clicking that shakes the Jeep developed as I drove through Vail. (Why does my WJ always break in Vail?) It only clicks under deceleration, so I left foot braked to keep a load on the driveline to make it home. Hopefully it's only a front hub.

Pulled the passenger side front brake line off the mount going up Moab Rim. It's interesting having no brakes when there's a cliff to your left and behind you.

Only damage my ZJ suffered was the lens cover on the turn signal coming loose while sitting on the trailer on the way out. Pam did a number on her ankle though coming back from Mill Creek. Between me, Putz, and Brewer though we were able to carry her out when it was too hard to limp it. Looks much better today though.

Build a tranny mount...? I'm running a poly mount that I built and it's still holding up great.

As for the Avatar, have Dave make you one. He's the creator of mine I believe....that or for some reason he has this photo saved onto his computer or searched for it......which worries me a lot more.

Developed a "dead spot" in my steering, and a nasty vibration, probably a u-joint...other than that, a sunburn...had an awesome weekend as usual!

Steering is off a little after PSM from what I can tell, but I don't know where I would have done it on PSM. Probably happened on Moab Rim and I just noticed it on PSM. Overall nothing broken that I can tell and even running at 75+ on I70 there weren't any shakes or vibrations, I should say new ones as I needed to get the tires balanced before GSW anyway.

I bet u-joint on yours John as I ran into a similar thing when I had a truck w/a bad u-joint. Glad you made it home mostly OK though. Sorry we couldn't trail straighten your WJ on Rose Garden Hill.

Is your axle trussed? I almost wonder if the housing is deflecting. 1 R&P failure is one thing, but having another one fail leads me to believe that something else might be causing it. One of my friends has been running a Currie Hi9 in his rear for years on 36" SXs and a healthy V8 -- to my knowledge he never broke a R&P.

Brian (ZJones) ran Moab Rim and ripped out his brake line from the caliper. Luckily Chad (I think) had a spare and Bryant held his finger on the bleeder.

Of course Ken's (K2) drive shaft snafu:

It is trussed with a Clayton's old style square tube truss. I am somewhat concerned the housing is bent.

The problem with a Clayton's truss is that it's not a complete truss -- so the tubes can just bend where the truss ends. I also know for a fact that the tubes can be bent on an axle with a Clayton's truss in Moab -- just ask Rockfather.

Scratched the axle side of my front left Clayton LCA. Beating my head against the wall for not getting the skids welded on to the 1/4" axle bracket

Clicky front left axle shaft, but it's a junkyard special, so I'm sure the ujoint is dry as a bone. Smooth as butter coming home though, the trailer absorbs all vibrations from the Jeep's driveline
