Had a good day on the trail today, one of the few OCG trips where we were home before dark. Keith (Mtn WJ) and John (JohnBoulderCO) joined us, as did Jeff (Rockfather) and Ken (Ken L). Weather ended up being a little better than expected, and nobody broke anything so that's always a plus.

The section between the trail head and the first little obstacle seems to have gotten a little rougher, but that just makes it more fun.

    First "obstacle"

Lots of snow still on the Collegiates, and Jeff's 37s making it look easy

    Keith

    Ken

    John

Spotting Pam through the rock pile

Pretty happy with the droop here. It didn't use to go that far, can only think that my old steering was binding as this is the 1st run with the JCR setup.

    John getting flexy

Pam made it up here so fast I only got one pic

John decided to try the big boy line and came REAL close to making it

Jeff gave it a shot too, but was having rear locker issues that kept him from getting up.

Some water at the bottom of the stairs kept things interesting there.

    The 37's helped a lot

Thanks for a good trip guys!

Oh the memories, are Hackett and Longwater still open these days? Eagle Rock was an old favorite as well.

My kids and I had a fun day wheeling OCG. Cool group and nice meeting Ken, Kim and Jeff. We camped out Friday and Saturday night with great weather all weekend. My allergies were in full force with the late blooming in mountains. Thought I was over that for the season.

    Jim maybe next time.

Looks like a good time! It looks like everyone survived the rapture.

Dave -- how did it feel to not be the tallest person in the wheeling group?

Jeff -- what was wrong with your rear locker? Air line leak?

Actually not the first time I haven't been the tallest person there. Some of the old school ZJ/WJ guys (Trango & Pat Connolly) are both 6'8" plus, but it has been a while.

OK... So anyway, I bent the rear axle in Moab and the ARB got pissed. I straightened the axle but the locker must still not be happy. Truth is, I quit the obsticle when the locker didn't engage. If i do a series of tight turns after engaging the locker, it'll lock, but I just gave up.

Oh gotcha. I thought everything was all fine and dandy with your rear axle after you got it fixed after the Moab incident. But I guess with all your traveling and engine issues in the past year, you never really got to test out the rear axle too much. Hopefully you can get it figured out.

You'd be fine on most of the obstacles there, the obstacles in the pics except the first couple are all optional or have bypasses.
