Finally got everything done and I'm all packed up and ready to leave bright and early tomorrow morning.
Ack!!! You can have your shovel back Tom...worked good digging myself into that hole
44a is all buttoned up. The bastard c-clip dropped right into it's home as soon as I spun it to the top of the shaft and gave it a nudge with the pick. Snapped the axle shaft real quick, and it was good to go. Sealed it up with Right Stuff and filled it up with 85w-140 dino. The Aussie likes the thick stuff, and I decided to skip the synthetic this year. The Jeep doesn't get nearly the miles it used to.
Next, minor front trackbar adjustment, need to go a little bit shorter so the front discos can be engaged. Clean up and organize the tools/spares, pack the Heep for wheeling, and get the trailer. Gonna make it!
Is it Wednesday morning yet?
I don't have a rear sway bar, so probably a good idea to be able to hook up the front if it gets hairy. Kinda nice driving in town with it connected too
Trail kit and air kit are in, Bridget's EMT kit is in. My CO2 tank feels a little light. Guess I'll go to Red Comet tomorrow during lunch. Trailer's in front of the house.
Tomorrow, mow the lawn so I don't come back to a jungle like the last 2 years, then spend some time with the rags, simple green and the toolbox. Damn cheap-ass grease I had in the gun pissed all over the top of the box
good progress so far
build 8.8 and get it in XdoneX

Updated my first post. I'm all set. Just need to gas up and head out on Wednesday.
I don't know how you guy find all this free time. I plan to pack up thursday morning as fast as posible then hit the road. Hopefully I won't forget anything. That is going to be tough as we just moved and everything is piled in a heap in the garage.
Don't sleep, wrench at night.
I got the little projects done last night, and I'm getting a drag link built tonight.
The only thing I couldn't get fixed was the mother fucking headlight bulb on the drivers side. Either I'm stupid, or hmm, I'm probably stupid because I can't get the retaining ring to hold the bulb in. The bulb just doesn't seem to seat far enough in the housing to get the ring pressed in far enough. It was/is causing me great frustrations.
Scott and I just finished putting 2 pusher fans on the front of his Heep so we can keep that puppy cool.
Mine's up on the trailer, ready to go.
