Now down to about 2 weeks and my list is the same if not longer than when I had 2 months!
Talking to the exhaust shop tomorrow, work probably happening on Friday as long as they're able to do it. I plan on leaving it with them all day. I think I'll just have them pipe it straight back from the cat - no muffler. I can't visualize anywhere for the muffler I have (Flowmaster 50-ish) to go.
I may do rear wheel bearing next week sometime. It's noisy, but not squealing. Messy backing though.
Turndown after the cat is sounding better and better. Lakewood Muffler wants $250 to do it, and they can't do it tomorrow.
Also, their new location sucks balls to get into. I liked it better when they were on the corner of 10th and Wadsworth (for the Denver area people)
Tires will be here Wednesday so I get to enjoy doing my beadlocks all again. Dam.
Meinike in Broomfield did mine and my dad's for $75 each. There was a guy there who was really good at it and enjoyed the challenge. Hopefully he is still there.
I think I'll drop by Bud's at 10th and Santa Fe tomorrow. Real close to work, so it'd make it easy to drop off and pick up next week sometime.
I've always been nervous about taking something I could potentially smash...and eventually disable my vehicle...to a "big box" type store.
If a smashed muffler can disable your vehicle, may I suggest a simple hacksaw for your toolkit??
Bud's FTW though. They've worked on my rig several times, and did Trixie's exhaust as well.
Ummmm....no muffler. I have Scott's old Flowmaster, and I can't picture anywhere that it would go. I'm talking some boob routing pipe right where a CA can turn it into mashed potatioes
Pretty sure I'll be running just pipe from the stock cat back to the rear...unless Bud's can convince me otherwise.
I'll see what they say when I get it in there. Scott's old muffler is only marginally smaller than stock.
Oh come on it's a bit maller than that. Exactly want was LM going to do for $250?
LM was going to do pipe only.
Bud's Muffler FTW - he asked if I called the cops for almost being mugged by Lakewood $100 tops for pipe, and they'll leave a straight section for a small muffler in case I get pissed at the sound. Goes in Wednesday.
Hummm? I wonder if LM is under new ownership.
It's probably because they have a huge overhead now if they're in a new place. I didn't know they had moved.
Well, it's not a bent wheel. The driver's side 8.8 shaft has a slight amount of run out. Replace after GSW.
Get another standard length shaft. Superior 1541H or Alloy USA 4140.
Edit: I think I'm going to try the Alloy USA shafts made out of 4140.

Went down to the San Juans today with some friends and the new thermostat worked excellent, event at altitude climbing the road in two high to get as far up Yankee Boy as possible. Could only get up past the fork that goes to YB after the turn off for Imogene, Imogene and the Ouray side road were snowed and no plowing work.

Yeah but she's not gonna wheel it...That's what she and the kids are riding down in...I told her we cant take it unless its lifted, and has a MC sticker on it...so...she said "fine, buy a lift new rims and tires, and I'll let you lift it"...Done
OH! I thought you wanted to put them on BEFORE you drove down there...so you could show up Big Pimpin!
Exhaust is done, front left tire fixed after running over a lynch pin...oops
Bud's Muffler in Denver FTW - $100 on the nose, just as he estimated. Didn't use any of the scrap that I had, but no biggie. Nice and purdy, tucked in really well. They left a straight section for a Hushpower or something small if I want it in the future.
I better do right rear wheel bearing and seal. It's leaking pretty bad. Guess I'll do that this week or weekend. I'll have to make sure the shaft is true, though it's pretty hard to bend a 44a shaft.
