Got a few ways I can tweak the itinerary to match up to available campsites on WRT, so hopefully we can make that work. Have no phone access right now, but I did get an email sent out to Canyonlands asking about campsites. I will try calling them in the morning too as it appears as if they are only available by phone in the morning?

You could start at Shaefer early am, run the trail to Taylor Canyon and have time to setup before dark without feeling too rushed. Or maybe catch a break and someone cancels for that day..

Look fwd to your trip report, enjoy.
Apparently the road north of Potato Bottom is washed out and impassable and they don't know when it will be repaired by. I guess there was a lot of runoff in the Green this year and the road was underwater for a while. And all the campsites are pretty much booked except for a couple here and there.

So we'll probably substitute Kokopelli for WRT.

Dates stay the same really, just different places on the same dates.

    Little over 2 weeks out . . .

Thinking we'll drive to Moab Saturday and camp along the way to Kane Creek/Hurrah Pass. Then Sunday take Lockhart down towards Needles and camp north of 211 a little bit. Monday start into Elephant Hill and camp south of Needles unless somehow there's a spot still left in Devil's Kitchen. Maybe keep the same campsite Tuesday night so we can explore the area a bit more Tuesday. Wednesday head out through Beef Basin back to Moab. Maybe stay at the Redstone, maybe camp, who knows. But Thursday and Friday we'd run day trips around Moab, maybe Spike, Hells, stuff like that.
