Heading out to Tahoe via the Pony Express. Should be 5 days and 600 miles of dirt road action. You should be able to see our progress via the APRS setup on one of our rigs

It will update speed, google map location, and elevation every few minutes, but it is dependent upon HAM repeaters. If we can't hit any repeaters you may see some gaps in the reporting.

Nice circle you've driven around the valley.
I hate you!
Hi Cody,
Hope you guys had a good trip. I was trying to follow your tracking but it did not seem to work again (after you left SLC) till you guys hit hwy 50 outside of Fallon, NV.
Natalie and I were going and try and meet up with you guys at Sand Mt. /Sand Springs Pony Express Station.
Did you guys get to go by there and check it out?
Sorry we missed you, Maybe next time.
Please post some pic's of the trip.
Ron
Damn I didn't even see this! That's a sweet trip you made/are making, 50 is a hell of a road ain't it!?
Well it looks like your almost home, But the clock must be wrong. Right now its showing you guys at 2300 hrs just coming to Salt Lake at the lake and its only 1600 hrs.
Again. sorry we missed ya. sounds like a fun trip.
Just got in. I guess there was some technical difficulties with the APRS tracking between Simpson Springs and who-knows-where. All in all we did 1300 miles and about 500 on dirt. We hoped to do more but random mechanical issues and a gas station without gas cost us about 3 hours each day and some impromptu route changes. Killer trip though, and I'll post pics when i have time to catch back up.
Ron, sorry we didn't meet up. We were moving pretty fast and had some routes change on the fly.
