Nice Jeep man the build is goin along nice. I was just wondering how the sliders are welded on as of now? I had jcr on took em off cut em up to relocate them. Gonna finish cutting the rockers and pillar work this weekend and I like you am gonna wait for TNT stiffeners to weld the legs to the uni. Any pics or what ever would be cool. Its temporary like yours but you seem to have got em on there pretty good for the moment

Today was a decently productive day. I got the new shit painted up and installed. Overall fitment was pretty damn good right out of the box. I still had to use a vice and persuade some parts to fix just right but my jeep has taken some good hits up front off road so I'm sure that didnt help out haha. I had to enlarge on hole on the steering brace but again no big deal. Thanks again Neil aka FCZJ

My aw4 is exactly the same lenght using the stock tranny mount and all. Once you put the 8.8 in it has a little longer snout than a 35 so the ds slip yoke will be about where it rode stock before the lift.

Ok so I have a question While I'm at the JY this coming weekend I will be searching for a Ford 9" and a front axle. What combo would be best for my uses? 39" tires is as big as I plan to go.

Grab the 44 off of the same rig you get the 9" from.

I assume you changed your mind on the weeeeaak ass 44?? Anyways good choice will keep things simple having two axles off the same donor rig when parts replacement comes.

44's are a mile better than a 30 and mile behind a sixty...so I think you will be fine. I had full intentions of building my old 44 up, but other things came up and I cannot stand to have shit laying around thats not in immediate use. Just spend the money on fresh timken or equal quality bearings in the hubs and carrier/pinion, get some good greasable balljoints, nitro gears and you will be fine.

A 44 is stronger than a 30 and a built 44 is supposed to be comparable to a stock 60. I have given my 44 hell and it takes it like a champ

Anyway it is the rubi tj type 44 that is only marginally stronger than the hp30 if you grabbed a hp44 esp from an f250 that shit is solid beef.

Oh and for free? I hate you. I have actually been scanning the local craigslist for an hp44 before I fully pull the trigger on the 30.
