I will be getting a new pilot and throw out bearing maybe a new clutch depending on the shape of the one I pull as for the master and slave Ill be using pulled parts unless I cant find them or they are damaged. Im trying to do this as low buck as I can since Im still trying to get the 35s on here rather soon along with the new axles.

I figured you'd balance it somewhere along those lines, and I'd probably do it the same way. Bearings definately take top priority for being new, the hydraulics are semi easily replaceable even once assembled, and the clutch you should be able to visually inspect so that should work out.

You got a plan, can't wait to see it happen!

Yeah I figure it should work out pretty well man. I'm stoked for sure I really hope this weekend works out if not I have to wait till I get paid and go next weekend which still isnt to bad. Does anyone know if the XJ 242 and the ZJ 242 have different spline counts? I dont want to pull a t case unless I need to.

I know early XJ's used a 21 spline, but I'm not sure if you could get 242's with those or only 231's. With the AX15 I'd assume it's going to be 23 spline but I don't know about input shaft length!

So today I finally had enough of the wet carpet so I cut it all out but what is covering the trans tunnel to try and keep the noise down. I'll be rhino lining the area with out carpet as soon as im sure everything is dried up.

Just trash all the carpet man. Sooner or later the heater core will leak then then the a/c drain and so on and so forth. Muddy feet and spilled beer also hurt my carpets life span.

That doesn't look like it is that deep but you need more ground clearance.
As for wet carpet I would have pulled it and let it dry then pressure washed it clean . it is a bit easier in yours then mine with the cage inside

So I got a package in the mail today from FCZJ and I cant wait to get everything painted up and installed tomorrow. The Rad support is BEEFY as hell and very well made to say the least. The steering brace looks fawking sweet and the welds are killer!! Thanks for the great product Neil!

Those look well built to say the least. I need to get a steering brace on mine before it is too late. This isn't going to be one of those threads that gets rollin good then falls dead is it??

HELL NO!!! I am still waiting on my 35s to ship out so my current focus is finding an AX15 or a used 42re if the swap proves to be more trouble than its worth but im 95% sure it will be a AX15 that winds up swapped in. Then I will shift my focus back to the long arms and axles getting thrown in. I still need to gear the 8.8 and HP30 with my ECGS 4.88s that I got from Chase on cyber monday for a great price!

Those are not KOR products correct? Similar design of course jus makin sure you didn't buy them third party. Are there any more available or can another steering brace be made to order? Price?
