Well I started to hear a noise out of the right rear today and have figured it to be a bad wheel bearing in the turdy5 so now I have to waste money on it to keep it going till I swap in the 8.8. I also wired and mounted my second battery today!

Yeah I got stuck in a deep hole and I think water got in then. If I cant fix it with the drain and flush since I have access to the nice machine and the trans was recently rebuilt so I hope its salvageable if not AX15 here I come! I can go to the $40 upull it yard and get everything including the trans for $80.

Just so you know when you get your next tranny or pull this one. My vent hole was behind my torque converter so while it was out I plugged it and drilled a hole on top and ran a vent line. Im sure it would eventually let water in somewhere if left submerged for a long time, but I have forged water a few times and nothing so far. Every tranny has a vent hole somewheres and so does every transfer case.

I'll be sure to change my vent line locations on the AX15 when I swap it in. I did a full service on my tranny a few minutes ago and she is fucked so Ill be going to the $40 u pull it yard after my next pay check and pulling everything I need for the swap! Should be a fun swap it will be nice to have the manual for sure!

O and I'm 6'8 so that might be why I look so tall lol

Lol trust me putting the man pedal under your left foot ads a whole new level to beating on your jeep hehehe!

Honestly if things go smooth you could have this thing knocked out in a week! Are you gunna be running new parts like master, slave, clutch, throwout bearing and pilot bushing/bearing? If you are, maybe you can start getting those bought up during the week so you're even more prepared when you get the tranny.
