So how's that body lift coming along?
Ok so I finally changed my oil today and after 23,000 miles and it still looked really good but for sure needed a change she runs a tad smoother but not a big difference. Amsoil is a great product thats for sure!
lots of turdness here
i demand an update!
Well Yukon 4.88s and master install kits are paid for along with some 2x4 .25 wall for the mini boat sides!! East coast gear supply hooked it up for sure. Big thanks to Chase the owner for great service and pricing.
Yeah they seem to work well. lol
Well looks like me and my buddy Len are going to have a very productive weekend. Mini boat sides are a go. I'll be starting friday and I'll also be cleaning up my axles and getting them ready for the regear.
Pics! Watch that shoulder.
Well the plan was to start today but getting the steel took longer than thought and i helped my buddy replace the fuel pump in his zj so the cutting and welding begins in the am
2x4
4.88 gears for the hp30 and 8.8
lookin like a fun filled weekend.
Well I got pretty far today on the passenger side and I must say a plasma cutter is the way to go when doing a boat side saved me a few hours at least. What really takes a lot of time is cutting and reshaping the A and C pillars then re-welding them **** that thin *** sheet metal.
first cut was with a sawsall to oper her up and take a look
the C pillar area before any cutting was done the is just with the outer skin removed
the A pillar before any real cutting was done
under side of A pillar area
B pillar prior to cutting
C pillar after being cut and modified
A pillar during cutting and rework
view after 90% of the cutting they are cut as high as i can go with out cutting the doors or floor pans
So it begins.
Looks good. How are you going to tie the 2x4 into the pillars? I noticed you left your tiny pinion in the bag for the picture LOL
looks good cut out rock sliders FTW
OK well today was very eventful caught my jeep on fire twice lol but everything is ok and nothing major was damaged but it was a learning experience. During the welding on the passenger side make sure the main harness is pulled away from the metal along with the plastic or is will catch fire ask me how I know that one lol.
A pillar 3/16th bracket welded in
B pillar bracket welded in
C pillar bracket welded in
A,B, and C brackets welded in
2x4 mocked in
2x4 mocked in
2X4 welded in and painted sorry for the ****ty pic
2x4 welded into the A pillar bracket
2x4 welded into the B pillar bracket
2x4 welded into the C pillar bracket
Looking great!!!
Well got it all finished up today still need to add the 2x2 kicker rails. I measured the lowest point on the drivers side rockers at 16 inches and the passenger side at 19 inches so a 3" total gain and 5" if I were to have had sliders mounted under the rockers. :cheers2:
I also still need to cap them so ill be doing that this week at some point
Looks good man. Throw some semi-aggressive 33's on there and that thing'll be pretty capable.
Thanks man! It will be on 35s in march
Tits man! That extra couple of inches makes more of a difference than you could imagine, it's incredible. You'll love the hell outta it!
Thanks man now I just need to do the other side lol
