Well it could be for something else you know.

I'm at the point now where I think I'm going to run my axles and build an actual buggy instead of wasting my time and money on a unibodied rig. The ZJ does great... but I'd rather keep it as a semi-hardcore wheeler and not hack it all up.

Looks that way but only the front one for apperence. All the rest are there. Clayton has a great way of doing them as well... he runs a drill through the hole and into the tube for a deeper penetrating weld.

And the tubes are fully welded all the way around using a jig that rotates so there are no starts or stops in the weld.

Thats a good point BUT, I have kids and the ZJ is perfect for packing ALL our crap and going where ever it may be. Hardcore is definded differently by everyone, so I have hardcore axles and a hardcore right foot matched with a 5.9 so these were needed. So far Ive killed my D30 counless times and my 8.8 once. All on 33"s mind you...

And now wanting to run some real meats I need to build axles that I can forget about and enjoy wheeling and less wrenching. I guess what Im saying is that its easier for me to spend the $$ rather than keep fixing weak links.

On another note... WHEN I roll my ZJ and its left to a pile of crap, I hope my axles will still have life and they will live on in somthing else... maybe a buggy or TJ whatever it maybe. Time will tell.

    Yeah that is true AW.

I am just pissed at myself in a way for building a ZJ and not something cheaper and with a frame. I think I wouldn't be so far in debt at this point. I'm actually thinking of selling it to pay off some stuff, but I'd need to get at least 12-15k to not be getting rammed in the ass on the deal.

Oh, plus I hate you for spending like $6k on an axle haha.

    You still run swaybars??

YEAH RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clayton took care of my on this deal.

I have giving Clayton my idea on a steering stablizer and hes making it work with his "anti-rock" for the ZJs. Time will tell for that product.

As for my ZJ, yes FOR SURE keeping swaybars.

I have to say all the guys going full width and blingin' axles is making me rethink my HP30/8.8.

Personally....i'd sell em while they are hot....

    I ran hp30/8.8 for < 1 year before moving onto a 9" rear and a future HP44 front (later in the summer/fall)

    edit: oh yea, NICE axle!

    Sorry to hijack this Jerod.

I am really torn on the axles to be honest. Problem is if I sell them I will just dump that money into getting my stroker all squared away and then I will have no axles, and no money, atleast right now I have axles.
