Well, where the hell are they?
I didn't take any pics but my brother and wife got some, when I get them I'll post em up.
I got a few videos from Railbed before I realized that I didn't recharge my battery. I'll post them up when I get the chance.
Some memories from this weekend:
- Joe's breakaway exhaust
- Joe's breakaway steering line
- Joe's breakaway hub
- Joe's non-breakaway fire extinguisher
- Ryan's tape/super glue ARB air line fix
- Not falling off of a cliff at Mason Jar
- The only tree on Mason Jar that Ryan likes
- The condom on Mason Jar
- The wire heart Jamie (muddtrack's brother) made for Pearce
- Joe's pseudo-flop on White Tail
- Joe's full throttle reverse to avoid a wasp's nest
- Clay -- the world's worst crack addict
- The cutest stray puppy we ever did see (did you end up taking it home, Clay?)
- The clubhouse
I'm sure I'm missing some, but that's a start
Actually I didn't but I should have. Dan and I were the last ones to leave the cabins Sunday morning, and right before we left, guess who showed up on the front porch... She was the sweetest little puppy and was ready to play, she kept barking and whinning when you would stop playing with her. She tried to come into the cabin once when the door was open while we were carrying things to the car; one of us said "no" and she immediately sat down and did not come inside. This got us thinking that maybe she was the care taker's dog or the daughter of that dog. So we decided to leave her. As we pulled down the dirve way she was standing on our porch barking at us to come back and play with her. Now here comes the kicker...
We go down to the Chevron to load up the jeep (I wasn't trusting the Tahoe to go down that hill loaded up) and also fill up the Tahoe. I walk in side to turn in our cabin key and there is a brunette behind the counter that I hadn't seen before. I asked her if she knew of any one with a dog or puppy around there. I told her about the little female puppy that was probably still sitting on the porch. Her exact words: "She is probably a stray, but she probably won't stay around long, most stray cats and dogs up here are eaten by the bears" I was like WTF, I didn't know what to say so I said "Well I guess the only good thing is that she won't be in any pain from being a hungry stray" then this cold hearted b*tch says "Well she probably won't be in pain very long because the bears are usually pretty quick killers" I just walked out.
So no I did not take her, but yes I should have. Maybe the dune buggy guys will take her...
Oh my God. That sucks. I hope she is still around for the next group of wheelers that stays there and finds a good home.
well good luck to that puppy.. sounds like its a common problem.
I know some of you got pics.. I didn't cause I haven't replaced my stolen camera yet.. Our group has some video but i'm sure that will take a little time to get posted though..
I have a few pics, mainly of the Upper Rock Garden on Friday evening, and then some of my group Friday on Lower Rock Garden. I will post up what I have later tonight.
Did anyone wheel yesterday?
This is Maxx's brother...
He didn't take any pics, either. Doucher. He rode w/ Cam, though. Hopefully he got some good ones.
Cam, Cobbie, Chris (simo), Seanzy, and I wheeled sunday..
we rode the waterfall, railbed, some unnamed trail above railbed, lower rockgarden, killin time, lower damnation, lower profanity(not in that order). Chris made a lighthearted attempt at cream puff and cam messed around with pony hill for about 15 minutes.
we got off the trails about 2:30 and headed home, I was just happy to get some trail time in after a not so smooth friday and saturday...
sundays are normally alot of fun, you guys should plan to hang around in the future if you can afford the time.

Trey, did your tire hold up yesterday?
so far so good dude.. it held air all day yesterday and i checked it this morning before i left for work and it didn't look low so i think im in good shape for now.. 42" spares are hard to come by and i really really really don't want to have to buy another tire...
you aren't the only one concerned about tires Ha, I had a great time wheelin yesterday though, apart from the minor tire woes... How do we always manage to hit the most trails when we have the least time?
I think there are some pics and vids on my camera but I haven't looked at them yet, so it'll be a surprise to see what we got...
Damn that sucks about the dog.
Jared you forgot about the stone worm.
I have alot of pics and as soon as i get a chance I'll post them up. Thanks again to every one for a great weekend.
Finally some pics...
Cabins we stayed at -
This pic makes me laugh, it looks like my ZJ was dropped into a forest by helicopter. I was on the trail - Upper Rock Garden.
Ha those pics remind me of my entrance to Upper Rock Garden with you as a passenger:
Ryan: Hows the transmission been holding up?
Jared: Great! It crawls so much better now that it doesn't slip.
Ryan: Cool
* I enter the trail and am having trouble getting the tires to turn even at high rpms *
Jared: What the hell is going on? Why is my transmission slipping again?
Ryan: Are you in 4LO?
I had a blast this year. Some highlights for me;
- Mason Jar, definitley one of my top 5 trails ever. It kicks my ass and I'll be back for more.
- Blasting up the hill to get to the cabin, who knew that just getting to camp would be fun?
- Meeting new guys and hanging out with those we already have gotten to know through MC and GSSE events.
- Slim's (Joe) break-away parts!
- campfire hang out time.
- Hearing Cobbie bounce off the rev limiter and seeing his tail lights bounce from about 100 yards away as we left Lions Den around 9pm to head back to camp.
- Watching Sir Fuego (Jared) tear up Mason Jar - nice driving man.
- Hauling ass down the mountain with Slim and Sir Fuego
- our ride group was great to wheel with. Thanks Pearce, Slim, Muddtracks (for day one), Michael (from ACC) and Sir Fuego (on day two).
I'm sure there is more.
The puppy - my guess is that the dog is a "local" and knows that people stay at the cabin and those people have food! She hung out all night and slept in a blanket my brother threw down for her outside our cabin door. I wish I had taken a picture. I bet the dog is fine and is back at home waiting for the next group of friendly wheelers to come to the cabins and feed her.
Thanks again to all. It was really good to hang out with all of you. Looking forward to next year already.

i had a blast this year, it was good to meet new people, and to watch all the "hardcore" rigs do lions den,
i did a little riding on sunday, ben left us so it was just me and my passenger ryan on sunday, we rode 15 and played on white tale trail for a while, that rock garden at the end is awesome, all in all it was a good trip, minor breakage, such as coil spring retainer broke and droped a coil out twice, and a lower radiator hose after rail bed, other than that is was awesome
should have a video of grapevine soon , along with some pics hopefully
here are a few... I had a blast as always and just wish there had been more time. would have loved to wheel with everyone I didn't get a change to ride with.
