First trip to Uwharrie. Camped at Arrowhead campground and hit the trails Saturday. Stopped by Eldorado Outpost to get breakfast and pick up our adventure passes. They were very nice there and gave us some great advice on where to go. They even made my son pancakes (which weren't on the menu). Their egg and sausage biscuits were very good although I was skeptical when I first walked in.
Anyway, we did Dickey Bell trail from north to south. It was rated a medium trail with a few sections that required spotting for my buddy and I. One tricky downhill section required careful spotting and a level head. My Jeep went through everything nicely. We saw 8 vehicles total on the trail during the day....every one was a Jeep.
Here's some pics:
Here'sthe GPS track of the trail. PM me if you want the data.
