    - Pick Jeep up from shop with a new tranny
    - Wire up the full gamut of lights
    - New trailer tires

Nothing too crazy, so hopefully I won't be scrambling last minute to get ready, but I'm sure something will crop up. I have 1 (possibly 2) local wheeling trips planned before GSSE. They should be "easy" trips, so I figure anything I break on those trips would have broken in Harlan -- just filtering out the weak links!

    Test

You have no idea how jealous I am.

But I'll be interested to hear how that tahoe does in the hills around harlan!

no I don't think FOA would really give a shit anyway. I've been using my semi-tight winch rope as a front limit strap and it took a toll on my fairlead mount. I straightened and braced that up last night but I need regular limit straps too. Gonna take the shocks apart probably this weekend and see what's up.

and damn I knew I had stuff missing from that list...

You were actually the inspiration for me going with a new trailer vs a used one, figured it was safest to go with new. As for the Tahoe, I know it will be no speed demon, but hopefully other than that it will be OK.

Just make sure you check your trans often. If you going to have an issue, that would probably be it. You don't need a turbo diesel power to tow a grand. It is a bonus for sure, but I think your Tahoe will be fine power wise.

    As for my checklist:
    - replace all my bushings in the long arms and tracbar.
    - lower it down about 2" front and rear
    - replace the bulbs in my gay assed ProComp 130's
    - move the welder, generator, air compressor on to the gooseneck
    - finish my skidplate
    - pack my spares and tools in the jeep
I'm still waiting on the inexpensive shit to break!!!

'02 WJ with 60's, locked, full hydo, ORI's, on 40's, and still have air conditioning!

Trans temp gauge and a aux cooler might be your best friend. Heat is the killer.

Thanks guys. I have a stock tranny cooler on it right now, but I have a bigger new one I am going to install before GSSE. I am also going to change the tranny fluid and install a tranny temp guage.

93ish zj, d60s, 38.5 maxxis, and a bunch of other expensive parts to make them work.

Truck stacks, for when your trucks nuts are just not gay enough anymore.

When we were there a couple weeks ago it was a little less slick than it was last year at GSSE. It rained a lot the week before we went but it wasn't the slickest I've ever seen it. Of course there is still plenty of time for the place to dry out or get completely soaked between now and then...

Dust sucks. I'd go for a light raing in the AM to keep the dust down.

    My list-
    - plumb/install hydro assist cooler
    - trim front and rear fenders
    - add wheel well tube protection
    - get brakes working better
    - straighten lower control arm
    - add some lights
Thank you to those that serve our country.
