Got home about 3 hours ago... It was a good time, but this trip was DEFINITELY unlucky 13... But it still was a good time. Im glad John's son didnt go through with the "deal" I had offered him.. I didnt want to motorboat Dave
I'll be adding pics soon
Im sorry, I had to post this one
Yeahhhhhhhhh! Let it flow!!!!!!!!!!!
Adam left my house about two hours ago. He got the t-case together, AGAIN, pulled onto my street and left a puddle of brake fluid that started in my driveway. We think it was a the line just came loose. Which is weird, but we took it apart and tightened it and it didn't leak.
My Jeep stalled right after I got it in the driveway and I couldn't get it to start. I am guessing it started as it was in the street when I got home, but I sure dont know why it stalled last night.
On a good note, I think Cliffhanger burped my cooling system!
13th for sure!

Just 4 of us this day, Pam & Dave, John & John and TJ(ohn) (Grandpa, Father, Son... way to be original guys ), Putz & Joe (Bed Buddies), and Liz and myself. We ran to the Crack on Golden Spike and back. I am the only one that ran the crack.
All the pics:

Liz, the innocent elementary school teacher originally thought Putz was giving the peace sign
Sporting my new Stay the Trail sticker - unlike K&N stickers, this doesn't give any HP but instead allows my Jeep to be keyed less in Boulder
Pam on Body Snatcher...she got within less than an inch to taking a body hit so I didn't do it. Putz and John did though and they had tons of space. Way to scare me away Pam
So I went down a ledge instead:
Oodles of space:
Can't forget Putz driving off trail and blowing a bead
John flexing out his new IRO LA's - his inaugural run:
Le'Crack! Last time I did this trail, 2 years ago, I ripped apart a Teraflex LCA and had to get it welded (Thankfully Tom Woods was there to rescue me with his OBW (On Board Welder). I also had to run the trail with my sway bar connected because my shocks were too long (err, I didn't have limiting straps) and thus I kept popping springs.
When we got back onto sand near Gemini Bridges I noticed my steering wheel was 1/4 turn off. On the drive back to the hotel my steering was super loose. Turns out I bent the drag link end from the drag link to the pitman arm. Had a replacement on hand so swapped it out over a nice cold beer

Well I wasn't entirely without carnage this year either. Idler pulley started squawking a bit Sunday so I swapped it out really quick in the Redstone parking lot. Then on the way home I kept getting nasty vibes from the trailer. Checked it a couple times and couldn't find anything obvious. Then we had Pam drive slowly through a parking lot while Putz and I watched and we noticed the front wheels on the trailer both had a decent wobble to them. Closer inspection revealed the driver side almost completely FUBAR'd. The tread was a mess, I'll get some pics up in a few days. I'm amazed it hadn't blown yet. The pass side was jacked pretty good too, but not nearly as bad. Swapped the spare on and all is well.
I guess Scott had some overheating issues on the way home too and may have even vapor locked at some point.
nice pics josh ...lol arlos jeep looks like a toy :P
Thanks kanin
Big THANK YOU to all the planners that put GSW '10 on this year! It was fun. Met a lot of new people!! Thanks to the sponsors, ESPECIALLY MoonWorks!!! I won a set of unibody stiffeners!!!! Woot!! I'll be there next year for sure and I WILL have my Jeep ready this time
go4x4it - nice pics
go4x4it (Josh)...great pics. You got some unusual angles in there which got some really good shots. Looks like a great time for sure!
Its funny You say that because we got left the campgrounds at 9 a.m. Monday morning in hopes to make our 24 hour drive and get home tuesday morning. Well, three hours out of Moab our F-350 Quit on us. After sitting calling around and finding out no local shop could work on it until a week and a half out, we finally found someone. We sat on the highway for about 6 hours, and finally unhooked the truck and trailer and got it all down to the repair shop. We are now stuck at Holiday Inn in Silt, CO. Looks like we will not be home until later... Plus we had Darricks WJ rollover, all because of my fuel pump going out. Unlucky year.
