Don't forget: Change diff fluid after break-in
    One more thing

Oh, I just remembered: Need to add friction modifier. Doesn't do any good sitting in my garage.

Most gear companies recommend driving slowing for 20 miles, then stop and let everything cool down. Then drive "easy" for 500 miles. Then change diff oil.

One company said to do 20 miles, cool down, another 20 miles cool down and then another 20 miles cool down. There is some folklore to this.
Seems 2-3 20 mile distances, during the the break in period would be better.

Break them in proper with regular lube and then change to the good synthetic stuff, see Dirk 4x4oil for the good stuff. Don't cheat on the break-in, gears are too expensive time wise.

Also get fill plugs with magnets or make your own to catch the metal particles and clean them at every cool down.

Got a lot done over the weekend, but also found a few things that need to be done after running Hackett yesterday. Nothing too major though.

Well....I may be running 40's by GSW. After competing this past weekend, the main thing that held me up was being so long and low. 112" wheel base and 17" belly clearance doesn't do too well. If I don't do 40's before GSW, then I think I'm about ready to go!

DAMN man! Haha thats a nice little upgrade. But 17? belly? That's way low, what's the first to hang you up down there? Can you do some belly surgury?

*EDIT* That made me really curious so I went out to the garage and measured my shizzle...I'm sittin at about 19.5" to the bottom of claytons frame stiffners, and thats only a tired 6" lift and 36"s.

*double edit* Though I guess you might have been measuring from the bottom of the crossmember. It's nice not having to worry about that anymore

Yeah that's to the bottom of my t-case skid mounted just off the crossmember. I'm about 6" lift and 37" tires....

But yeah....17" is WAY too low for 111" wb.

You looked into uhmw? I really noticed a big difference with mine. IMO if the belly is going to be low, flat and slippery is better than slightly higher with a lot of edges to hang on.

Haven't looked into that, but that's a good idea. I really just need to ditch my rock sliders and either boat-side it or just cut out the rockers and do like most others do. That would help a lot with clearance on my sides. Underneath I gotta look into building a better crossmember/skid plate, and uhmw just may be the key to that.

For sure, boat sides are next on my to-do list after Memorial day because of how much abuse mine take compared to EVERYONE else I wheel with. I wheel by slider brail and I'm tired of it lol. I've dented in the 1.75x.120 DOM in SEVERAL spots lol.

I want to take it up as high as possible, we'll see how much work I cut out for myself hehe.

Yeah, I still want to keep it as low as possible, but I'm going to have to lift it 1.5-2". So I should be sitting around 7.5" of lift. We'll see though, I'd rather just limit the uptravel a bit more.....then again, with the way I've been jumping it lately I could use a lot of uptravel ha.

Shinobi, when are you heading out? I'm going to be leaving from Reno on either Wednesday and do it in two chunks or Thursday and do it in one.

Finally mounted my winch, but realize that I now need to create a hook keeper of some sort.

Found out that my TMax winch has a dual wired/wireless control - pretty cool.

Are you supposed to spool a fabric rope under load just like a wire rope?
