Had an AWESOME time. The weather was rainy for the first 30 min and sunny for the whole day, it was great. Ran with joe and his friends for the first part of the day, then him and I wondered off and just ran the two of us before he had to head back to camp to check on his dog. I went with another group and decided to hit up some harder stuff.
Wheeled a bit sunday morning but it was pretty wet from the rain at night so I just kinda slid around a lot.
I have TONS of photos, I might add more later.
Great time, Joe it was great wheeling with ya.
Some video.
Back side of bunny
Random wheeling after I had to get winched (yeah yeah joe)
Flat rock
Only damage was a few door dents
I also tore up my passenger rear inner lugs because the axle indeed DID move back with those brackets and it rubbed pretty hard all day no matter how much hammering I did. Need to do something about that. I blew one of my new shocks again. Either redoing the mounts or splurging and going coil overs in the rear.
great time!
Cool! Wish I could have made it but this weekend just wasn't in the cards. I love big dogs.
defiantly good times. It took me all god damn day but I finally one upped ya on that last trail I think what it comes down to is what you have on me in tire size I have you in flex. So its just a matter of what lines we pick as to what jeep will do better. It nice to be able to run with something other then wranglers. Actually after we split off to let the dog out of the cage I caught up with a few other people back at camp so we decided to run courum real quick. Jeep did fine till the last 10 feet of trail were I started to goof off on two really large rocks and proceeded to snap my drive shaft and pinion yoke. Ill do a right up a little later on the good, the bad and the ugly with the new suspension.
Matt and the rest of the group I had a hell of a good time with you all those two nights from what i can remember looking forward to catching up with you all in crozet.
Some bad ass pics man! Definitely a bit different terrain then I'm used to out here, it'd be fun to try that out sometime.
Oh and here is some awesomeness that happened too.
Nice piece of driving on flat rock. Was the busted shock due to a bumpstop or limit strap problem?
bumpstop, I knew it would happen too. needs more travel and needs bumpstops.
pics look awesome maxx, glad you guys had fun.. bunny looks like a pretty high pucker factor obsticle, nice driving there too
Actually just got a chance to watch that bunny video, damn, talk about a pucker factor. From the video that looked close so I can just imagine what that was from inside.
Yeah I really thought I was going over at one point. I made sure to wrap a sweatshirt around my A pillar bar incase I whacked my head. If I had rolled it would have been either an endo or a 3-4 foot roll into a hole to the left which would have been hard as shit flop either. Other people were filming too so if their footy pops up I can post some different angles on here.
Just watched Bunny video. Nice man! Pretty bad ass for sure!
Nice video on bunny. At the point where you hit the brakes and your back tires came up, I would have been lettin her eat.
Wow man great pics,
Lol good thing you choose to wheel with the doors on and not the tubes,
I know you have a bit more experience at near-endoing than I do, but I know the one time it almost happened at Rock Run, my first instinct was to ram on the brakes. I hope that I learned my lesson for next time, but it sucks that the first instinct isn't just to let 'er eat unless you are used to it.
which rock was she talking about?
Joe you didn't take any pics?
