This year I figured I'll take a week off for GSW and make a true vacation out of it. I figured I'd extend an invite to others who wanted to do some light wheeling with some great scenery during the days leading up to GSW 2010.

We're heading from Denver to Moab on Memorial Day (5/31). Either camping or motel on the first night (TBD).

Next 2 nights camping in Canyonlands (6/1 & 6/2). If you're familiar with the White Rim Road we'd be going backwards. First night at Potato Bottom, second night at Airport, leaving via Potash Road to Moab. Figure on 4-5 hours of driving a day with some side hikes to explore a bit (like the slot canyons, fort ruins etc).

I checked availability before faxing in my reservation form to the park service and came up with the above itinerary. I think you can add cars/people to the same reservation.

A few years back we did the White Rim in a stock WJ so just about any one going to GSW can make the trip.

I plan on arriving on Wednesday and staying at Canyonlands.

Would like to do a day trip on Thurs.
