No, they really really dont look great in that picture, but that was taken with a phone under the dark jeep. They look very crowned and not hot, but they looks and feel flat in person. The other side is welded as well.
Thanks for taking that. So you moved the rubber mount from the engine side to the frame side? Also for reference this pic is of the pass mount looking toward the front of your rig correct? Is this mounting location further back than the original magnum mount locations on the block? Sorry for all the questions.
Oh and when you have a min would you mind posting a pic of the frame side mount please??
That is passenger side, looking forward yes. I did have to remake the mount further back on the block, maybe 3-4" overall from stock location, cause I broke those
It is much easier to understand whats going on with a CAD view of the motor mount setup. Pretty self explanatory, but you can see the one bolt running through the mount, and the cast tab on the block. Only one tab there though.
Thanks Ryan. I will have to try just replacing the rings. Hope that will get me by.
That is perfect. Thank you. They appear to be very well designed.
One last question.. Where did you source the rubber isolator??
Prothane ZJ motor mounts. I had them long before the wreck too.

Gotcha. Thanks!
just wondering if you considered fabing up rail mounts to use the stock motor mounts to save some time and effort. I notice your mounts use holes that are all rusted to hell on mine.
I believe he busted a mount off of his engine block and didn't feel it would be strong enough welding the broken piece back on the block. This was his solution.
x2, in the accident IIRC
Boom. Shit's weak. Was gonna have it welded, welder never called me back.
I think the holes he is using are the original la engine mount bolt bosses. From the research I've done it appears they left them there when they redesigned the la series engine family to the magnum in the early nineties.
Threw on some aluminum outer fenders. Not much left to do 'til I can get out and test it. Getting very anxious now.
Sitting a bit higher than I'd like, here I have about 8" of shock shaft, minus 2.5" of foam bumps on the shafts. I only have maybe 1" more upward adjustment on the shocks.
Lookin bad ass!
Very slick looking!
Rick
You should add a big Mercedes emblem like off a Mog or something between the headlights, then nobody will know what the hell it is.
Holy crap Neil that's lookin DAMN good. I can't believe how much clearance the fenders have on those little tires, that much available uptravel is going to do great things for your high speedability. Can't wait to see it up and runnin!
Looks DAMN good! Can't wait to see it in person at GSW!
Looks great!
Looks great! Do you have any "straight on" pics? Very nice tubework.
Wow Slick and sick in an awsome way.
