Pearce and Bryan and I hit Mountainside ORP in Gadsden AL yesterday. It was the first trip over there for both myself and Pearce. We had awesome weather- sunny and 70 all day, and had the park mostly to ourselves thanks to two big spring fling events at nearby parks. We ran somewhere between 35 and 40 of their 50+ trails that are a variety of rock crawls, grippy slabs, slippery slabs, and loose hammer down hillclimbs. No mechanical breakage and only one rollover with zero injuries.

Most of the pics I got were of Pearce's rig, but we took some videos of his rig and mine too... I'll post them as they get uploaded.

Looks like fun. My club has gone over there several times and really seem to enjoy, haven't had the chance myself.

    looking good amigo.

tires seem to dig pretty well at the bottom of flash over, still rockchuckers though.

looks like a fun place to ride. similar terrain to mtn city or windrock

mapquest allows about 5 hours for me to get there.. maybe we can hit it up sometime..

You know what, Cam? You really need to quit posting those videos. It keeps making me want to dip into my wedding fund just to put new axles underneath my rig.

Looks like a good time! I always liked the idea of going to "other" parks during major events. It's great basically having the park to yourself.

Ha yeah... something about the LTB makes them the rock throwingest tire ever. I have some videos I won't post up of Pearce's rearranging the whole side of the mountain...

Some of the park resembles Mountain City or Windrock but there are a lot of open slabs and ledges at the top of 300-400' hills that have higher consequences than most of the stuff at either of those, minus the left side of the exit on 3 at windrock or TOW at Mtn. City.

Here's another vid- pretty funny how not steep the camera makes these look.

No pics, we were working as fast as we could to roll it back on the tires. It was a very gentle roll off a large rock but onto level dirt ground.
