Wow, nice find, just the interior is worth what you paid! Glad to see you get her running for so little money.

Weak. I think if you were to build a ZJ pre-runner, or even a Comanche, that would be cooler than the Toyota.

Either way, I'll be tuning in frequently.

Wait, so you bought a DD ZJ, fixed all of it's problems and sold it two months later? Why?

I can't build a jeep preruner. The classifications at the track I will be racing at would put me in the outlaw class. The toyota puts me in the limited light class.

It will be a stellar build tho.

WTF kind of rules are those? Toyota sponsor the track or something?

Its not Toyota sponsor. Actually it’s a ford dominated classification. Motor restrictions are up to 3L. must be factory 2wd (cannot buy a 4wd and remove parts)

So how easy is it to find a 4cyl 2WD Comanche? And do I really wana race a jeep 4cyl? Whats the aftermarket support like? Then do I really wana deal with the horse and carrage style front straight axle??? See where I’m going lol.

With the toyots I can get roughly 250HP out of a 3rZ 4cyl that’s a twin cam. And the truck weights 2200 LB stock. Once you gut it and throw a ton of fiberglass at it. I bet even with the cage I can keep it around the 2200lb mark. To me that just makes sence.

Finding a 2wd Comanche is easier than finding a 4wd around here, honestly. I'd rather build a trussed 2WD beam axle on coilovers, than fuck arround trying to beef up IFS, Althought the IFS is obviously better suited for this racing aplication.

But seeing as you already have the red rocket, and already started work on it, proceed.
