i'm just building a stand for the JD2.

my buddy broke the main rails from a loaner bender so we bought one to replace the parts and i spent a fe hours reinforcing and straightening the broken ones for our own.

Nothin to special.

so i pulled it into the shop around 9 am.







it has ben sitting out side for a while. the frost was about 1/2" thick.

pulled the top end off the motor. wow i can saw that fucking sucked!









I find nearly ZERO amount of joy from that experience.

the AC was stripped as it will become OBA in the future.

wana see what happens when your ratchet stripes and you catch your finder on a rocker arm??





and this is how it will sit until monday.

i got a new gun and i'm 2x better hahaha.

monday i will finish the motor and then remove the valve body. tuesday i'm off tothw wrecker to get some small odds and ends then put in the new park pin and wrap up some small loose ends. then it shoudl be off to inspection, aircare, insurance!

thr cyl # 1 had a crack between the intake and exhaust valves.

it still has a check engine light....i'm gonna scan it for codes tomorrow.

aight so good news!

scanned the codes injector 1 and 5 was bad. i swapped them out for some junk yard ones and the truck runs liek a top.

i fixed the cracked tranny cooler line.
i put in the new head light
-new dipstick
-new heater core hose

and the beast passed inspection!

the government deemed it road worthy.

it will need to pass the smog test tomorrow other then that i shoudl be driving a ZJ by tomorrow afternoon!

The ZJ passed smog!

the front drive shaft needs a new Yoke and U joint. so i will be putting that in next week. and it appears the tranny cooler still has a leak. So i gotta do somethign abotu that. small shit but i'm rockin!

so i went to do the u joint today.......

i found the clunk.....

the driverside upper control arm mount was ripped off the frame.

i was wondering why i had a HUGE loud clunk while driving.

Someone tried to repair it too. full of goober welds. EItherway..i fixed it so it will hold. and now i have plans to do long arms in the front when i do a lift.

That sucks. I love driving my ZJ. Ill be picking up a new DD ZJ so that I can park my 5.9. Cant beat em.
