Grand Slam East 2010 June 11-13, Who's in?

I know details haven't been posted, and it's only 3 weeks away (June 11-13), Bruce must be busy!

I can go this year, never finished the Samurai but I've been wheeling the 5.9 on 32's and it does great. No rocker guards yet, needless to say I'll NEED to do cutout rockers on it soon if I keep it up.

I might register for it on big dogs soon, any other old timers planning on going?

Probably not bringing the buggy, would need to borrow a truck and trailer, probably just bringing the 5.9 to wheel the mild stuff.

I was wondering about this because I haven't seen much posted about it. As long as nothing goes horribly wrong at GSNE I am going to try to make GSE as well. This would be my first time there.

That's cool. Our group will be smaller than usual since one of our guys is running Top Truck Challenge (and taking 1/2 our crew with him) in California the same week. We'll have to catch up over some beers around the fire or at the mud pit.

I'm hoping to be there. I have the weekend before it free right now so I'm trying to switch some stuff around so I can make it. I won't have my rig there (of course!!!) but hope to have it all together by the sept run. Most of the rest of my group will be there of course.

I guess the days of a huge GSE are over, whacky, it was one of the first events I ever went to (2001?) and all I remember was built grands everywhere taking up the whole campsite.

Numbers have been kind of wack over the last 5 years. Jumping all over the place. We still have decent turn outs but haven't had an advanced group since 04 I think. And the intermediate group runs atleast as hard now as the advanced group did back then. The trails have changed so much and back then...35s on a ZJ was extreme! I was hoping to have it done this year but next June...I'll be guiding an advanced group with Beerman doing intermediate as usual and Bruce running stock as usual. I guess if Conti and I make it up there this June...we can guide an advanced group with his rig. Not 100% sure if he and/or I will be there though.

If any one wants to run the harder stuff, they can run with me and my group. i was thinking about running with the zjs on friday then run the harder stuff on saturday.

The zj will be there
The rover will be there
Either pats tj or his new defender will be there (whatever one he has at the time)
and a friends wrangler on 33's will be there

Planning on wheeling with all friends one day and prob do some bigger shit the next (insanity and whatnot). if anyone wants to jump in our group, should be fun. Very diverse wheeling crew, so I think we will be hitting the intermediate trails on one day like corum and whatnot.

Hey Joe, this time you come with our group, so maybe we can actually wheel the whole day instead of driving around or spending an hour fixing a busted shaft

My group always camps right at the entrance to the mud pit in camp 6 if you homos wanna join

I plan on being there. Been working on my jeep already to get it all buttoned up and ready....replaced leaky shock, replaced broke swaybar (finally)...

Geez...now that I think about it, I've had this thing offroad only about 3 times in the last two years.

Would be nice to have a decent crowd there again, looking forward to it!

I'm can't make this time, I will be working in Texas for June and July. But I should have more free time later this year so I think I will be able to make it to GSSE.

Looks like I might not be able to make this one anyway... after thoroughly abusing the ZJ for the last 6 weekends in a row (the one I said I wouldn't wheel) the girlfriend has other things in mind for that weekend.
