FWIW, CrawlerReady is down due to maintenance.
its from low GVWR.
first reminder in july!!!
It weigh's pounds and ounces.
We are not yet metric
Sept bump...
New direction.. replace the closed acorn lug nuts with open nuts and save some weight! Good for .0000231 MPG gain!
How close is it to the moon today? Ah, 228,198 miles, hmm does the tidal pull of the coolant and oil change it?
so with all the new home improvement the jeep is just sitting and that could be hazardous to the GVWR!!! time to go wheeling!
Hmmmmm, nobody has updated this in awhile, i might as well......BTT
So I hear that they'er giving away some gvwr at gsw this year! You should come check it out!
+ rep lol that was good.
Hey Stealth you hear that.. more rep means your gvwr is down!
Thats ok I took the roof rack off so that should off-set it and then some!
Well CrawlerReady's site is back up, i guess he got his GVWR is back up..........after all this time of trying to get is back down....
I just got back from making a dump run with my new donor body '98 ZJ and the ticket with just me in the ZJ says it is 3920# with the fuel tank at 1/4 and all stock components.
Well, in order to remedy my GVWR dilemma, I've purchased this
Well... That depends on how much gvwr you need.
I hear the bigger the better!( although it rubs a lot harder)
Build it. Lock it. Crawl it.
Since this thread hasn't been bumped in years it needs it!
How does installing a chevy 5.3L in a ZJ that previously had a 4.0 and was 2wd affect the GVWR?
Is it on a treadmill?
The LS might move the COG back a bit, but if you made it 4WD, that would probably negate the COG advantage.
Way old, but to add the info, running 265/70r17 tires on a 1.75" budget boost with no rubbing in street driving.
