Hahahaha Tyler you'll never outlive this thread, ALWAYS going to haunt you
My '93 V8 ZJ with front winch, rear bumper tire carrier/winch, 36" BIAS Iroks(with spare), D60 rear and D44 front with Claytons long arm, loaded with tools and me in it comes in at 5500#.
Hmm, interesting. This thread shows 4 pages of posts but I can only access the first 3 pages and my post showed up on pg 3. Weird...
I filled my bumpers and tires with helium so I am down about 200 lbs
Letting the air out of your spare tire can save you 30lbs easy! 40 if you had it very full
Be sure to drop a deuce before you weigh, I hear that sheds a few lbs too.
Oh and St. George is great John.....although I've dented my oil pan into the bottom of the crank so I've got a sweet knocking sound now. It's all good though because since I finished my other boatside I'm sure the GVWR is down another 150lbs.
Bump!
I'm thinking the new Bilstein 5165's will help out the GVWR.
O for sure man!
On the Moon the ZJ only weighs 750 lbs. 4slow no more!
It'd be a 4pointNo on the moon. Good luck getting it to run.
Inject Nitrous.
Then what?
Serious rockcrawling 3 miles nearly straight up! Direct O2 injection, better than nitro.
What sort of coolant will you use to handle -150C and +100C temperatures? Not to mention the rest of the fluids and materials in the vehicle...

Just to keep it alive... I think last time I came back from the land fill w/o anything in the ZJ but my self my ZJ weighed(sp) 4250 lbs w/about half a tank of fuel (if I remember correct). I was hauling 1140 lbs of brick, drywall, and old flooring crap. Glad I wasn't on the turdyfive.
John(BoulderCO): thanks for keeping stats in the threat. There I just added another point to capture for Tyler's chart.
took so steel to the scrap yard earlier this week, 620 lbs worth, but the jeep weighed in at a hefty 4400
So did the new red labels add or reduce the GVWR.
You know, I'm pretty sure they go fuck yourself
