I was planning on doing Twin Cone for the Annual Aspen Viewing Trip this year, but not enough people could make it so I jumped in with another group from our church, the Calvary 4-Wheelers.
We had a good bunch of people - and it was a fun trail. The last time we tackled it there was a lot more snow, and we couldn't quite make it all the way to the Santiago Mine. This time was different - some aspen at the lower elevations, and snow up higher - but nothing that slowed us down.
It was a beautiful day, too. We ran out of time to do any shooting up at the top (and there were a few other people around, and we didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable), but the views more than made up for that. Of course there was the obligatory dinner at Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs on the way home - pizza just tastes better at altitude!
Great pics!
That XJ looks miniature behind that red shackle.
Looks like a great trip. Excellent pictures. Thanks for sharing.
