I decided to keep the 5150s (255/70) in the rear and go with a 7100 (360/80) for the front after talking with Shane from Bilstein in CA. I need to take some measurements to find the right size shock, but I also remembered that the mounting for the 7100's are different. Do any companies make weld-on brackets that fit the 7100's or will I have to make my own?
There really good shocks but if u blow them out or u need to rebuild them it takes alot of time and hard to get part for them...thats why I didnt get them.look in fox 2.0's eazy to get parts and u get one free revalve when u buy them,I got 50/70 and works good,But going to make it a bit stiffer cause I do a lil more than just crawling!!!!
heres wat I got!!

The fox shocks are a bit different. I like their shocks that they use in place of springs or with coil-overs. I found a supplier for bilstein parts and it doesn't seem too hard to rebuild. I'm sold on the 7100s , just wanted to know about the mounting.

Would it make sense to get some shock tabs and weld them close enough to encompass the heim joint on the shock, or should I be using spacers?
I not sure about the 7100's but my FOX's came with spacers..I got the JKS conversions..But use the spacers, but u may have mod them a lil bit..I had to do it!!

Hmm..
I have the JKS upper mounts from when I put on the 5150's, but they didn't come with spacers. I also noticed they don't offer the lower mounts for a WJ, it stops at ZJ. I might just plate over the old lower mount on the front axle and weld in 2 new shock tabs. I'll just need to find some spacers and a good shoulder bolt.
JKS sell those spacers for upper mount!!
Man...it's been a year since I was talking about this, but I actually bought 4 new 7100's. I just ordered the JKS adapters in the links previously mentioned and they should be going on pretty soon. I got 10" short bodies for the front and 12" short bodies for the rear. Both sets valved at 360/80. I can't wait to put them on!
