I kind of wondered if you would have to... they looked pretty close in that picture.

Are you going to run some production block hugger headers or make your own?

What are you going to do to protect the motor? Alot of it is above the main hoop.

That is also up in the air. Once I get the motor set then I will be able to tell if I can use a productio set of headers or will need to make my own. The exhaust will need to cross over the transmission and the headers will be super close to my feet. Wrap and heat shield will be a must.

Not to much is above, I have seen worse. I will need to rebuild some sort of hoops to mount the CO's. I will build off of those to protect the intake. My biggest concern is all the DBW stuff. I believe on these motors you can flip the intake manidold so the throttle body will be facing the cab. I plan on taking the intake under the dash and putting a couple 90's to get the air filter right above the passenger leg room area. I will need to change the middle support bar some for the halo but I think I can make something work. With the intake flipped around the DBW stuff should be well protected for when this thing is on it's lid.

Gas tank mount has also been cut out, I will be moving it back to fit the radiator right behind the seats.

I am almost to a stopping point as I need parts. I want to have the ATLAS in my hands and bolted to the tranny before I mount the drivetrain. Once I get this accomplished everything will start moving along.

Finished this last weekend and just now have some pics. I wanted to do something to cleanup the chassis a little more. Overkill yes, added weight yes. Do I like it better now, and does it not drive me nuts anymore, yes.

The plating will continue down the main frame rails after I add the lower frame rail bar. It will give me a nice flat surface to mount motor mounts and a few other things.

    That looks way cleaner.

I wouldn't sweat the extra weight. Its below COG, not to mention the strength that added.

Pimp will be when you open some ports and use them as fuel tanks

    Thanks.

Yep, H2's are just for mock up. I needed some rollers and had a set in the garage. I plan on buying a set of black KMC's and running 40" maxxis stickies.

I want to run the mirrors. Sure they wont last long...

It looks like you might have to trim the fenders a little as well. Don't be afraid to cut a little...there are some good write ups on here to help you if needed. hahaha

Thanks for the props guys. Buggy lost another 40lbs today. Flipped the intake manifold backwards on the LQ4 as well. Pics to follow.

Nice. I had to flip my intake to get everything to fit too, even though I converted mine to cable TB and that doesn't need as much rollover protection. Actually if you want it, I still have my DBW TB, so if you need an extra you're welcome to it for free.

Think you're going to have enough room to run the stock accessory brackets, or do you plan on remounting the p/s pump higher up to clear the driver side upper link?

Right on, I will PM you my address and paypal you the shipping cost. Thank you!

I "think" I have the accesory deal figured out. I "think" I can fit the alterantor in the stock place. I may just cut down the factory bracket. I then plan on running the hydro pump where the A/C compressor was. Fabbing up a bracket to make it work. It is small enough to where I think it will fit. I just have to much going on with the driverside with the drive shaft being there. Clearance is really close for everything, but I think it might just work.

I am feeling much better as I get the chassis more to where I want it.

Thanks. LOL. They will be mounted. Probably last all of about 5 minutes my first time out at the HAMMERS.

Things have been slow since the holidays. Trying to get my Scram up and running to go cruise around at KOH.

It has been some time since I last updated.

Chassis is a little lighter now. All bars that needed to be removed are gone. Finally done with the grinding....... Now I can start building on the chassis and work to getting the motor.

are the seats going to sit so close when done?
This person should be taken as seriously as a heart attack while piloting a zeppelin over a bacon factory, which is the most serious of heart attacks, because if that zeppelin crashes into that bacon factory all of us will be without bacon and that simply will not do.
