Chad may be busy. You should have no problem with the trails that have been offered in the past if they are offered again this year---mostly scenic with some optional "stuff".
Skids and rockers would be needed. But a WK will be fine.
I am gana give a definatel MAYBE!!!! i gotta talk to work and see if i can get the dates off and what-not. also depends on if the ZJ is built enough by then...
is there an iteneray for this yet? i'm doing a bunch of other trips right before and after this, so i don't think i'll come stay the entire weekend, but would like to at least hookup with the group and run trails on one of the days...
Im curious to know which trails as well..
G-
I'm out........ my zj D35 pinion yoke blew the bearings and seals, wont have funds or time to get her ready. my wj just isnt armored enough to take her out yet...
See ya all next year.
Trail options:
Brutal, Smasher canyon, Broken Arrow, Cliffhanger, Greasy Spoon, House Mtn, Soldier's Pass, Smiley Rock, and maybe a few others here and there.
No specific itinerary yet.
Previous years we have paired trails to allow two shorter trails to be run on the same day. Brutal, smasher canyon, and Smiley rock most likely will be full days.
Weather is finally starting to approach less than surface of the sun hot, so we should be on track for another comfortable trip.

Hey guys,
I will be out of town until late on the 1st & my sister will be in town from FL until the 4th of October. I would like to still make it up for at least one day. I am thinking Saturday at this time. Maybe just camp for friday night and return on Saturday night.
Count us in too.
Kevin
its getting closer!!!

Im jumping through hoops to make it! Its not to far away from San Diego. If we make it it would be one Jeep three guys camping.
We are pulling out from Texas on Wednesday morning, spending the night somewhere on the way and will arrive early afternoon on Thursday.
Can't wait, had a really good time in Sedona a couple of years ago and we were alone on that trip!
I will be making it this year, but will be rig-less. My WJ is being transitioned to its new owner.
So, I may be riding with ZJ Vato (Mark) for part of the weekend (if he comes), or be looking for a passenger's seat.
Bummer Eric. Hope this doesn't mean you're leaving Grand Cherokees and the Grand Slams.
Well, there will still be one in the family... just not owned by me. I recently picked up an 86 CJ7, sprung over with a 350 Chevy and a 96 Powerstroke crew cab, so the WJ has got to go. Yes, the Jeep that I would never sell is on it's way out. I know that I will miss it a ton.
unfortunately i won't be makin it this year....i just recently got an apartment...and have to move in that weekend...you all have fun up there!! bryant or kevin....we gotta set up a weekend trail run soon!!! after GSSW
i just spent the afternoon making sure all the bolts were tight on the dub.. so i am pretty much ready! Lookin forward to it!

Well as it stands right now I am not sure if we are going to be able to make it.
I had to have an epidural steroid injection yesterday. And I am still in a lot of pain.
So unless a miracle happens so that all of my leg and back pain goes away we won't be making the trip to Sedona.
I will be getting in Friday evening.. where is a good spot to camp with a little RV??
G-
South of Sedona (between Sedona and Cottonwood) would be the best spots. Take the Cottonwood Exit (Camp Verde), Rte 260 West, then 89A north. About 4 (?) miles South of Sedona turn onto an Eastbound or Westbound Forest Rd and park wherever you like. Eastbound is much smaller (but prettier), West is larger, more options, but less privacy. If you pass the water treatment facility or the turn for Red Rock State Park, then you have gone too far. There are also campgrounds on Page Springs Rd: closer to wineries, but farther away from Sedona... still only a 10 min. drive from the morning meeting spot.
I will likely be tent camping at least 1 night on the East side of 89A, across from the Water treatment plant. It is also the exit road for the Cliffhanger trail.

Eric,
Thanks for the info. I am pretty sure i know what your talking about.. i just looked it up on google maps... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...38495&t=h&z=15
Looks like the 89B FS Rd is what your talking about, and looks to be the end of the cliffhanger trail i think.
I am sure i will see you up there! Sorry to hear about you selling the dub.. if it were a year ago, i would have been taking that sucker off your hands. Did you still have stock axles in that, or do a swap?
