Test fit engine today for clearance issues










I think i have more room then i did with the ford motor

Nice, does look pretty roomy in there. make sure you test fit it with the headers though. I thought I had lots of room and then ended up having to modify my frame.

what filter is that, a spectre? you keeping the stock belt length and p/s pump location?

its a APC from advanced not sure if im gonna use it or not im realy debating on doing away with the stock jeep grill and tubing the front clip

yeah im gonna keep the pulley system and the p pump makes it a little easier

Got the HOOKERS on yesterday and the collectors and down pipes done today god i forgot how much of a bitch welding galvanized muffler pipe is the welds look like hell but no holes







then i got a wild hair up my ass and ripped the stock dash and the dash bar out gonna bend up a new dash bar and some bars to go off it to go between the seats to mount my gauge cluster in

just like you right below the collecters just havnt got the the bungs to weld in yet

ok Big thanks to Shawn ,Trey & Dave i got alot done this weekend,
got the hood cut ,yes i know its not straight (YET)



motor the transmission and transfer case all on there mounts and welded in heres a pic of the motor



heres the motor mounts just need to weld in some gussets



heres the front of the full body skid right in front of the oil pan its made out of chromoly 3/4 x 3/8 wall tube (TUFF ) also added a little bit of pipe in my down pipes to get the crossover away from the oil pan




i got a bunch more stuff to do i will post up more pics when im not so tired

Not sure if you'll be able to answer this since the last motor was not stock but are the motor mounts located on the frame in pretty much the stock location? Or did you move them one direction or another? If say I were to put a 5.3 in mine does it fit nice in the stock location or moved somewhere?

thanks Pearce i cant wait to get it done i will look at that but im gonna say that they are behind the the stock ones chevy motors are shorter then the ford motors or the 4.0s my drivtrains shorter then its ever been , i hacked the firewall alittle and its moved back

cob doesnt have internet service currently....

engine's in, trans and tcase are mounted, we bent up his cage around the front clip and engine protection last weekend, he's hoping the wiring harness will be back sometime this week. all his fuel lines, pump, filter ect is ordered. last major purchase is the radiator.. he's coming along nicely
