HMMM I DO plus like camo said the pics are small those plates are 6 in x 8 in ,and theres 5 in gussets top and bottom off the back of the plates its just hard to see in the pics

I'd still want a bracing for them, a 14b is a heavy bitch
dude theres fucking 1/2 gussets on the back of the plate
Not fair, you edited your post and I can't tell in the pictures!
trust me, me and trey have our diplomas in this stuff and ask cam my fab stuff does not brake
Mayland Tech Industrial Fabrication graduate 05-07
Yeah if you and Trey and Sean put your heads together on it, I'm sure it's not going anywhere and it sounds like there are more gussets we can't see in the pic. But I doubt you needed 1/2" there Cob... unless you just had it laying around.
It's just a trade off... The downsides are just that thick stuff weighs more, takes longer to cut, and is more expensive if you're buying it new. The advantage is that even bad designs can escape breakage just by using thick material.
it was free i had it laying around already cut but i might try to tie some kind of cross member in there for more strength you know how i wheel i got so much crap to do thou
If i get to come up again before gsse we will add some more plate to that bitch. The pics really don't do it justice, its beef as hell
got some more stuff done this weekend have some more pics tommorow check this out
got the 14 bolt painted and ready to put in
heres the Orbital i got for 150 bucks came with the stub shaft and mount
heres the ram tacked up
heres what my jeep used to look like
Is the tie rod end of the ram mounted like it is to clear the diff?
yeah its purty snug but clears
picked up this buet yesterday for $5500 shes got 76000 miles on her
man i bet that thing wouldn't pull a greasy string out of a cats ass!
so wrapped up the rig this weekend ready for grand slam
flexes out good might need longer shocks in the future
welded in a piece of 16 gauge stell for a tail gate sunk lights in it
and welded some bars around the sheet metal for extra strength
The carnage from Harlan started tearing it apart yesterday
hahaha...nice!
Aww, how cute. It's like a transfer case...only smaller. Leave that aluminum junk to the Samurais. Did you get by Bob's yet for a 205?
