Well some of you guys may know me from jeepforum, I was kidA until i got banned . I guess I'll start by clearing that up, I received an infraction for "advertising w/o a vendor account" it was one of many which seemed to have become routine all by the same mod except for one of them. Basically i got pissed and proceeded to tell him to fuck off which resulted in my banning for life.

Anyways Ive had my jeep for about six months now, I bought it with no intentions of wheeling it, then i cought the bug. The problem was that its 2wd, i still tried lol.

Ok so the plan now is to basically completely over haul it. I have a AW4/242 going in, as well as a D30 4.56's locked, a D44 that needs to be built. Thats where I am now, just waiting on funds.

This person should be taken as seriously as a heart attack while piloting a zeppelin over a bacon factory, which is the most serious of heart attacks, because if that zeppelin crashes into that bacon factory all of us will be without bacon and that simply will not do.

96 ZJ swapped in 5.2, 242, 14bolt rear, big ugly home brew bumper, 7.5" of lift in the front 9" in the rear, long arms, hummer wheels with 37s... (dont worry front axle is next)

It should be heavy. Weight is a sign of reliability. If it doesn't work, you can always hit him with it.

update: Well I sold the grand, I was sad to see it go but I found a real good deal on an xj so im going that route, much cheaper and less work.
    basic stats on the xj:

    hp30 4.88's locked
    35's tomken LA's

thanks. Yeah definitely, those will have to do for now. Until I can afford a set of 37's on beadlocks

Got other stuff to do first tough. That's an old pic. of it, it has a custom bumper, and some tube sliders. The front bumper is coming off and I'm getting another one built. The axles are getting trussed. Then I am going to get it looking good and a cage put in. That should be done by fall.

Those long arms look like twigs. Maybe its just the camera.

Nice rig tho. I've always loved xj's with bushwackers.

I had the top end rebuilt on the xj, put it back together this weekend. Ended up snapping a thermostat housing bolt in the head . Decided to go ahead and drill it out, and ended up snapping an easy out bit inside . So after about $50 of broken bits later I ghetto fabbed it back together(pics tomorrow) .

How much did you spend on that truss? What all mounts did you get with it?

That doesn't kill ground clearance alot.... oh wait.

WTF? thats for a jumper, trussing underneath the axle is not great for a crawler.

this rig will be doing more jumping than crawling. And it really isn't a big diffrence as far as clearance.
