I already know to stay away from Crane. What else are you guys running and which specific cam? I'm looking at the Mopar Performance Cams and they offer 3:

I'm planning on a pretty simple stroker, 4.2 crank & rods, minimal (.030 max) overbore, not really sure which is best. I thought I read you want duration for lower comp. ratios but I'm not sure. I'm looking to the keep the comp. ratio 9:1 or less.

We put a stroker together - mild 4.6, 4.0 HO head, 677 pistons, stock intake and exhaust- and used a Comp cam. Part # - 68-232-4 w/ duration @ .050 of 206 (I) and 212 (E). Lift is .462 and .478 at the valve. We have yet to fire it up or dyno test it though.

Oh yeah, dont forget to talk with the cam manufacturer about what type of oil or oil additive to use with the new cam. New oil has less zinc in it and causes cam lobe wear issues. IIRC a lot of the "racing" oils still have the needed amount of zinc.
