This summer I'd like to build a truss for my 8.8.

A question i have is how do you recommend i go about doing so?

I was looking at making something that looks like this:

I was curious if it would have any effect depending how i made it.

Should i take a sheet of 3/16 or 1/4 whatever i decide and cut 3 seperate pieces and weld it together the entire length?

Or I was wondering if in the first pic the light areas on the metal were welded together. I was thinking it would be easier to take 2x6 tube and cut those angles out and weld it back together like that. Would that have any integrity issues?

    Thanks.

    looks good to me
96 ZJ swapped in 5.2, 242, 14bolt rear, big ugly home brew bumper, 7.5" of lift in the front 9" in the rear, long arms, hummer wheels with 37s... (dont worry front axle is next)

It should be heavy. Weight is a sign of reliability. If it doesn't work, you can always hit him with it.

i think the 2"x6" rectangle tube would be easier, less welding and stronger
