It's only about 1 hr 45 min's from my brothers house in VA. One of these days.....

Does anyone have a very large tarp that we can use as a canopy/makeshift pavilion in camp?
looks like we may get some precipitation between thursday evening and friday, hopefully fully clearing up by saturday. It would be nice to have a dry area that everyone can sit under when we aren't out on the trails.

I have a tarp I threw in the truck last night. It's been a while since I unfolded it so I don't remember the exact size of it, but it's a decent size. Maybe we can use a couple of tarps tied together if other people can bring some. I'll throw some bungees in the truck as well.

I've got a 10x17 I usually use it to drape over the the tajma-tent to hold in some heat when its super cold. I believe we used it last gsse to keep dry. I can also pick one up at tractor supply on my way home this evening, i've got to make a stop there anyway, just let me know.
Also remember the lack of trees to string up a shelter.. we will come up with something though, im sure..

Well, it's gonna be a wrenchfest as always for me now. I found 2 bad balljoints on the Dirty Dodge that I'm gonna have to replace. And let me just say FUCK YOU to Chrysler on the design of these things.

I'll see if I have my big ass tarp. I don't know where it ended up when I moved but I'll throw it in the truck if I find it. I'll bring the ez up too. One more day!!! Gotta stop for beer on the way home then off to Joes tonight

Negative dude. It's the upper on both sides. They thread in from the top of the a-arm. I'm sure that they make a special socket that works for them, but they aren't readily available at 10:00 at night. I welded a couple of old pitman arms to the top of them and broke them loose with a 5 ft pipe last night(redneck ingenuity at its finest). I've gotta cut the pitman arms loose tonight and get them out the rest of the way. Effin A Cotton...Effin A!

alright were packed up and ready to go. i have a real large tarp but just relized it has a few holes in it so i guess it won't work very well.

I should be able to. I just finished up the balljoints. Boy was it ever a pain in the ass. I've gotta go over a few things on the ass-10 tomorrow. I took off work because of the balljoint fiasco. So I should be gtg. However, I have at least 1 possibly 2 softball games tomorrow evening. I haven't decided yet whether I'm gonna play or not. If I do play, it will put me in Evarts around 11 or 12 tomorrow night. I'll give you a shout tomorrow and let you know what's up dude.

Cool, take spot 3 or 4 if you are planning on splitting one of the sites I reserved with trey. me and kirby will take the other. kirb might beat you there or be right behind you, so maybe yall can cruise around together because he wants to get a little testing in before the real wheeling starts on friday.

IIRC friday at gsse last year was a slop fest too, remember how slick lower middle rockgarden was? oh well, sounds like fun anyway, i just hope it stays dry for our drive up later.. i really don't want to have to put all the campin gear inside the truck, or sleep on a wet sleeping bag...
