Got some pictures.
Sweet looking jeep - are you still on short arms?
edit - read back a bit. As for that exhaust pipe, I was able to actually raise mine in the back about 2 inches by moving the bracket up. You could give it a try - it helped me with the knocking.

there is many win here
Well I got talked into trying to get my heep ready for Harlan next weekend. Hopefully tommorow Ill be putting the stiffeners on and trimming the fenders. That gives me a few days to figure out how to do the cut out rockers and get those done by the weekend. If anyone has any input, write ups, hints etc on that it would be great. Ill be spending all night searching too. Good stuff.
looks good. i try to keep my eye out for 5.9s all the time. they are getting more and more rare.
Got the front fenders trimmed monday but the pictures are at my house. Ill try and get them asap.
Got a problem though. My damn CV driveshaft exploded in my dorm parking lot. I got the 6 bolts on the axle yoke out, but I got to the 2nd bolt on the transfer case end and its stripped. I got vice grips on it but It wont crack the bolt, not to sure what to do.
Got a 5/16 socket on the nut and it busted right off.
pics of the fenders. I used a jigsaw for most of it and a grinding wheel for the lower portion.
beat it up
I cut the front bumper to match and got it on, no pictures of that. Heres a few pics from our trip to harlan, zj didnt go due to the driveshaft breaking.
pucker factor right here. creampuff, the obstacle the maxxis buggy was trying.
Ronnie post the video of chris may turning around on creampuff.... saw that on facebook today
For some reason my phone wont send a video in a message, ill try and get larry to send it to me so I can put it on photobucket. Heres the facebook link, it might work for some. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/v...v=703202793928

what the holy shit. That was badass
i'd like to see the amount of shit in someones pants if they were to do that uturn in a full bodied rig
Had an hour or two so decided to start cleaning off the 44. There were two different trackbar mounts on it already. I cut one of them off. The others in the stock location mounted to the coil bucket. I may cut off the coil mounts and fab up some of my own.
old picture of the mounts that were on it when I bought it.
Im going to need to sit here with a grinding wheel for a while. Probably will cut off that stock upper mount but I left it for the time being.
Im having trouble getting the passenger knuckle off. The top balljoint is about to fall out on its on because Ive beat the shit out of the knuckle but the bottom one hasnt budged. Ive been beating the lower part of the inner c, the top of the knuckle and just about anywhere else. Has anyone done ball joints and have some hints?
Havent been updating lately. Schools been kicking my ass, whoever said your Jeep looses priority when you start college was completely right. Living in a dorm doesnt help either.
Picking up a 231 w a tera sye on sunday. Hopefully get that put in with a new driveshaft from carolina driveline somewhat soon. Been thinking about ordering IROs long arms (adjustable) for the front, because after pricing everything out they are very close if not a little cheaper compared to the price of what it would cost me to build my own + time that I don't have.
Ive got a few questions if anyone can help out with these. Im thinking about picking up a set of 6 on 5.5 AR Mojave 16s. I dont know if it will fit over a D44 hub though.
From this picture it looks like they wont with that inner lip. Im wondering if it would be possible to get a machine shop to bore it out to a little over what my hub is? Becuase if I do get these wheels itll be on the cheap, so Id preferably like to be able to do this.
Also any info on the stuck balljoint in my previous post? Havent worked on the axle since I last posted so nothings changed.
Those wheels are meant to go on trucks so I would assume the wheel will fit over the hubs. Ask the owner if he could measure the hub clearance on the rim.
A machine shop should easily be able to open up that center bore. We have had to do that for some wheels before and it wasn't too hard to find someone to do it.
As for the BJ's. Can you get a pickle fork in there? What about a mild amount of heat on the area right around the BJ stud? The two hammer method works pretty good too. Place the ball peen end of the first hammer on the C right at the BJ area. Then hit that hammer with a bigger second hammer. Safety glasses required! A second person to swing the second hammer makes it a bit easier too. Good luck.

Went to Charlotte Sunday and picked up a 231 with an sye. Accumulating more piles of shit in my garage. Looks good
BUT today I was checking the cells in my battery, which one is gone and ill be buying a new battery shortly, and saw my coolant overflow looked weird. Opened it up and its full of oil. I'm going to clean it out Friday when I change the oil and hope that its a gradual leak and not a blown gasket. Is there any other way besides a blown head gasket or some ruhtard putting oil in the overflow that this could happen?
Are you sure it's oil? My coolant tank is so dirty and greasy that it looks like there is oil in it. You can always do a compression check on it though.
Looks like oil to me for sure. Probably gonna try and swap the head gaskets on spring break. Not sure if it can wait that long though. When I tear it down Im going to try to swap the intake for an M1 too.
Got a new battery in there, dont have to worry about it dying after being on for 5 minutes now.

Ordered 4.56 gears for the 8.8 today from east coast gear supply. Talked to a buddy whose 4 bangers head gasket in his yj is out and were probably gonna try and swap both of them next weekend after windrock.
Dropped my 8.8 off to get geared yesterday. Today we started to put the stiffeners on. Got everything prepped, marked up and started to weld but the knob for the power level was broken off somehow and its stuck on 4. Way to high to weld to the unibody, so now were stuck until my buddy brings back his 140 when he goes home this weekend.
