Heres a video I just got that my friend took the other week. The nasty sound is my front left pulling on the front of the fenderwell. I already cut and banged every sharp edge out so it was just rubbing and not slicing the tires, but I still need to bumpstop some more and trim some more out. The fronts flexing great but the rear needs some work. I eased on the brakes going in and found out thats a big mistake...

Held off on getting the used hobart. I need to pick up a few more things for the 8.8 before its all ready to be put in, then Ill order a new 140. Best price I found was $479 shipped. My friend said he got his with the cart and some other small stuff for $500 on sale.. wish that was going on now.

x2. If that right rear tire didnt slide out, I almost guarantee a flop. Wow, I bet that felt scary when you were driving.

You hate keeping all 4 wheels on the ground at once, huh?

Was underneath looking at a few things after I checked my AC, the little bracket on the trackbar bolt axle side just snapped off the bolt. The bolts pretty loose but the nuts not going anywhere, wish I had a welder It would be an easy fix.

trimmed my rear bumper to keep it from getting popped out. Not to crazy on how it looks but it serves its purpose. All the better reason to build one sooner. Borrowed my friends roof rack for senior week. I leave tommorow for a whole week of "good times" haha

IRO tie rod and a steering brace from Neil.

Its 98 degrees here, im going to wait till the sun goes down to do the tie rod. Im sweating bullets. Got the brace installed and the radiator hose is right there, its creased a tad from the brace. Will that cause any problems with the flow of coolant?

Thats the smoked grey rustoleum, pretty good match to REs paint. I think im going to paint all my suspension stuff that, my links, springs etc.

Yeah its been the same temp the past couple drives. My starts are getting longer and longer, took 10 seconds this morning and sputterd for another 5 once it started. Looks like im going to be dropping the tank real soon and replacing the pump . im getting a popping sound coming from the front left when I make turns too, have a feeling my balljoints are going bad. I cant believe im going to have to pay for a BJ....

Well ive got a lead on a waggy 44 w/ 4.56s, detroit, warn hubs, BTF cover, drilled and tapped knuckles for high steer, with brackets already set up for $800. If he isnt sale pending ill hopefully be picking it up this weekend.

My buddy is coming down July 11th to help put all this shit in.

Ive left all the brackets and tube inserts sitting in my garage in that box closed up and they started to get some surface rust.

If all goes as planned I wont be the Jeeperoni mini rig at the end of the summer. Itll be an identical twin

    HELLO. getting this friday

Ill need to order some wheel adapters to run it for now. When I finally get 35s I will hopefully have some 5 on 5.5 aluminum beadlocks. Now need some cash to regear the 8.8 too.

Keep an eye on that coolant hose. I **think** that is how my got separated from my radiator and resulted in the seizing of my engine. When I put it all back together I'm going to do it a little different and get a flexible hose longer than stock so that I can be sure it's not going to come off again.

Drove to Atlanta and got the axle, I will never again go through there on a friday in the afternoon. We left Atlanta at 4:30 and had bumper to bumper for atleast 1:30. Traffic was also real bad getting there around 2:30.

    Pics

Needs driver side balljoints replaced and inner axle seals. Im going to redo the trackbar mount so I can run highsteer aswell. Have to make the steering to.

Oh ya, went by and saw this after picking up the axle.

Cam the rotors are quite a bit bigger then the stock 8.8, and wider.

Im sure you could relocate the caliper bracket but I dont think the caliper is wide enough to fit them.

Ugh, whose shitty rig is that?

I suspected the rotors would be bigger. You could use a wider caliper and a weld-on bracket, but my concern would be whether a 15" wheel would fit over the caliper... obviously it'd be super overkill to have those big brakes back there.

Next weekend bro, the 15th through 17th well be there.

Had a squeek coming from the front right, pulled the everything off to pull the shaft to look at the ujoint and when I went to take the axle shaft nut off it spun right off, was loose as hell. Went to take the unit bearing off and I pulled the hub assembly right out of the bearing. I guess with the nut being loose it worked its way out over time. The bearings seemed fine, i tightened it all back together and the squeek went away.

Got back from Uwharrie last night. That was a fun trip, really liked the place.

Heres the start of the brackets for my 4 link. Mounting on the unibody for the uppers and lowers. The lower mounts are just sitting in there, not welded.
