Was suppose to go to BVORR on Saturday at noon, but Saturday morning it had rained pretty good so the owner closed the park. So a few of us that were really wanting to wheel made the 90 mile (took us over 2 hours though) trip to Spring Creek just north of Houston.
Spring Creek is where W.E.ROCK had their grand nationals back in Sept. 07, but unfortunately we didn't run any of the courses.
But even though it was a last minute trip and we didn't really get to start wheelin till 5pm, we had a good time. There were 4 of use total, the ZJ, a WJ, TJ, and a Ranger. The Ranger was the only 1 who really had problems, broke 2 hubs on the 44, tore off his mirror, dented the driver side door, and eventually broke his transfer case.

FOUR dana 44 hubs on dirt? Is he running hub fuses?
Oops that was a typo, meant to say 2. Broke a Mile Marker doing a front wheel drive burn out. And then I had a spare old school Warn from the 44 I just bought that he used and broke.
Damn I shoulda made the trip out there!
Looks like a little play lot! Still looks like fun though.
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that expected to see at lot of snow when I opened this.
I had a good time i haven't wheeled it since the SAS so there's some junk to still work out. I think my t-case finally let go after the last 3 years of abuse.
The front wheel burn out in low was a success, i have a pic of the tire marks in your driveway to prove it.. laying into it with one hub locked on the street killed it(spooled and we had to get to the parts store)
Here's a few of mine.
nice =) Who's WJ? I think I see MC stickers on it. I really need to fix my DW bad! It would have sucked for me to drive to spring DWing the whole way...
I thought I recognized it... I think we met at the 4wheel parts grand opening
But would you have wheeled the ZJ if you drove out to Spring? Haha just messing with ya. We're thinking about making it back out to Spring Creek sometime soon since we didn't do any of the W.E.ROCK trails, and because we only got about 2 hours worth of wheelin in. If you can get your DW issue worked out by then you should come.
Also did some more wheelin at BVORR Sunday afternoon when everything finally dried up. Here's some more pics...
looks a little dryer then the last time i was out there.
you guys going to the mega run next month?
Jon: YOU SUCK!!!
I fucking drove from Houston to college station to go to BVORR, the run was cancelled and then drove all the way back to Spring Creek (TEXAS, not Colorado). Next day the fuckers go again, and this time is open? Hey, thanks for the call though!
Who's dubya was that?
And I am going to megarun
Haha don't blame me for closing the park Saturday, and I had told you about Sunday. Would you really have wanted to make another round trip from Houston to College Station just for BVORR? You need to save the gas money for Megarun.
That WJ I'm not sure, I think that was the first time it's been out there.
Just a few more from Spring Creek, they're about the same thing just different angles...
You still SUCK!
We'll be back
