Talked to Monica earlier today and set up our group rate at the Redstone.

Mention you are a part of Grand Slam West when you make your reservations and they will give you the group discount!
cool beans
Got mine!
Thanks, Dave!
As of last night when I made my reservations, they still had 14 rooms available out of the total block of rooms they set aside for GSW attendees to reserve.
Gary
Done!
Thanks Dave and crew for setting this up?
Redstone is booked 4th & 5th (i called tonight) - i was planning on the 4th thru the 8th (checkout tues morn) - Brittany sez bus tour booked thur & fri a few weeks ago
started looking around - DAMN this trip is getting EXPENSIVE fast! - i need 2 overnight stays out and back too
2,114 mi – 32 hours of drive time one way
this is discouraging
Fawk...it used to be so far away...now they are booked again
Make sure you guys mention the Grand Slam group - I do seem to remember Gary saying they had some rooms set aside for us.
YUP - she gave me the GSW discount rate - i asked about the rooms set aside for us and was told that Monica did a discount rate for us (3rd thru the 8th), but didn't block out any rooms
i thought for sure i was booking early enough to catch one of those 14 remaining rooms
i'll call again tomorrow from work and try to catch Monica directly
maybe somebody has their wires crossed
if i can get the rooms booked like i had originally planned, consider me there!
If the Redstone is totally booked, the Bighorn Lodge is DIRECTLY across the street from the Redstone and owned by the same people. They might be worth checking into as well.
Ted, Wednesday wouldn't be an issue at all. The bus tours generally fuck us over for Friday/Saturday.
I know we (Clan Karlin) have had the whole damn hotel to ourselves on Monday for the last couple years, and Thursday tends to be quiet too.
I made my reservations with Cindy back on February 28th in the evening, which was over a month ago. They may have filled them up by now, or if not enough people called in to reserve them, maybe they released those rooms. Definitely check out the Big Horn Lodge across the street.
Might want to see if you can chat with somebody at the Bighorn about a group rate. They're owned by the same company, but they don't tend to know about Redstone group arrangements...I tried back in '07, but they didn't seem too willing.
However, I made sure to call the Redstone several times a week that year and ended up catching a cancellation. Sometimes the bus tours end up having people drop out.
It's not like any other hotel in town is more than 5 minutes away. Don't forgo driving 32 hours for fear of sleeping 5 minutes away.
The cool kids stay at the Redstone.
The kids with hot blondes stay at a condo
