    Hey,

How many of you guys that have pulled a 249 and put in a 231 have left the t-case shifter gate as is? Anyone put in the 231 gate? I have every piece of the 231 swap from a 4.0L ZJ... so I can use either. I've heard of guys cutting out the gate to make it a straight through.

I also have the Tera 2wd conversion in it... but that shouldn't make a difference.

Anyhow... just wondering what the general thoughts were on it.

    Thanks!

I have the 249 stuff on my T Case. It's straight front and back on the lever for all the ranges.

I've heard of guys cutting out the gate on their 242 or 231's... so just wondering why and what's the preference.

I'm still using the 249 shift gate with the 231. I couldn't find a 231 shift gate, so I stuck with what I have. It's no biggie, you can still feel all the gears and the lever doesn't bounce around.
