Just an idea... someone may want to pluck the pics of the XJ dumping it's fluids.
*cough* we assume you dug the contaminated dirt up and cleaned up the spill
Awesome vids of the crack! Looks like Ron4x4 could use a locker. There were some points where it looked like his front axle wasn't turning at all. Does he have a 242 or 247 TC? The first thing I thought when I saw the guy laying on the ground holding his leg was "I bet he didn't have the doors on". Hopefully he's ok.
Well SaturnCL and I did some fender trimming today
We only did the front but will continue the rear tomorrow or Wednesday .
Chris is good at making a straight line im not lol

Lookin good man. WJ's look good wide.
shin, what hydro assist ram did you get, and where did you get all the hoses and fittings?? lets see some pics!!!
G-
Heres what I did ...
I picked up a box from ebay a while ago for dirt cheap, sent it to SaturnICL to get it drilled and tapped.
The box was kinda rusty so I wire wheeled it and gave it a quick spray.
I picked up some hoses and reusable fittings from a local shop, I picked the dual layer hoses but you can use the 1 layer.
I got a Ram with an 8" throw a while ago from a buddy of mine for free
First I removed the engine skid since I knew it was just going to be in way of the install. Then I removed the draglink.
Then I removed the fittings on the box and the steering connector thing .
I then removed the box which was kinda a PITA, When I put the tapped box in I had to remove one of the fittings since it hitting the PS reservoir. Once it is in I tighten all the fittings
I measured and cut the lines as needed, I went with 3.5 feet on one , and 2.5 on the other. Then test fitted it and made sure i wasn't going to have routing problems.
I left one of the ends off to test to see if I had all the lines connected right which is a good thing I did cuz I didn't have it connected right lol so I now have to make a new line since one of them is too short. I had to get all the air out which involved me turning the wheel back and forth with the engine off. Once that was done turn the engine on and add more fluid don't let the fluid empty or you will have to start all over again .
hope this helps !
any improvement on road with that hydro assist? looks like a clean set up

How are the tires treatin ya vs your old ones? haha I'm sure it's night and day!
yes it feels more responsive and no more DW
lol thanks man !
thanks man, you mean GSR? lol ya after GSR I had to get hydro assist I couldn't turn worth the shit ..These tires are great on road and in moab ... but with the river rocks around my area it doesn't hook up as well as the Irocs or km2

Real sick wj great mods, just wondering on the first pics you have on here were you running 35's or 33's
Shinooobi,
I have heard from a few people saying do not do the hydraulic assist, because it will be too touchy and sensitive at highway speeds. Does yours feel any different at highway speeds? Any harder to control, dangerous feeling or anything??
Thanks man!
some people may have a different style or how they like their steering but IMO it made my steering 10X better than before, I drove it all the way to moab just fine even my GF drove some of it and it was fine. I was hesitant at first also about it being touchy and sensitive but so far its great ! got rid of my DW also. It is a little bit sensitive but not too crazy, its better than driving a boat. Too me it made it felt normal again ... but thats just my opinion
Thanks for the info! I would have thought it would be fine..
