I was running 12lbs, and from the looks of it, I really need to go lower. It is nice to have vids so you can see what everything is doing because I was sure 12lbs was good enough haha

My Trxus's were 33s, but 10 psi seemed to be the pressure where they started to conform around rocks. I ran them at 6-8 lbs a couple times and the grip was great, but ground clearance started to become an issue. Problem being is that going much lower than 12 psi may give you burping issues (or even lose a bead making a turn) without beadlocks. What is the width of your rims?

Nice to see this bad boy back out on the trails. You still doing the two-footed thing while driving? The slow speed stuff in the video looked a lot more controlled than your first day at Harlan last year.

My wheels are 15x8, so I can probably go to 10psi and be OK, maybe 8, so I will start playing with the pressure.

Oh yeah, still two footing it, much easier to crawl that way. I had on boots Saturday so it was a little more difficult but I mangaged. I am learning how to crawl versus just hammer down on every obsticle hahaha

Oh another thing I forgot to mention. Not sure how URE is setup, but altitude affects tire pressure a lot. My pressures usually go up by about 3-4 psi when I go to Rausch Creek or Big Dogs (which are at higher elevations). When I went to Windrock, I actually set my tire pressures when we got near the top of the mountain. At Harlan, I was running something like 6 or 7 at the bottom of the mountain, so I didn't bother touching it -- plus my LTBs were hooking up pretty well most of the weekend.

So basically, I've just gotten in the habit of air up my tires to like 20-25 psi for the ride down (the higher pressure makes the Jeep more stable -- thus making the trailer more stable) and air down at the trail head with my Staun deflators that I dialed in with a bike tire to my desired pressure. Buffalo isn't that far above sea level, so basically anywhere I go is going to be at a higher altitude.

If you are going to a place like Harlan or Windrock where most of the trails are at a much higher altitude than the trailhead, you might want to set the pressures at the trailhead then check/reset them next time the group stops on the trails.

Clean lines for an exo so far man! It's slightly unfortunate that neither of your bumpers are removeable anymore, but that's nothing a sawzall and a couple bolt-together tube adapters couldn't fix when the time comes.

Forgot to ask since it looks like nothing has been burned in yet. Is he going to cut the tacks and lift up the exo so that he can fully weld the cage?

It is going to be a pure Exo cage, I toyed with the interior/exterior like Ryan's but since I am not doing the work myself, the interior/exterior is a little cost prohibitive due to all the time and such, but I think the Exo will work just fine for me.

Basically not a lot more tube going on, I wanted a simple yet very functional cage, mainly to protect me, and secondary to protect the body. There will be a few more pieces of tube going from the driver to passenger side at the top and bottom of the windshield; and more on the roof.

Tieing into the bumpers was something I wrestled with, but in the end I said the same thing you did, nothing a sawzall and a couple adapters can't fix. Should I ever need to change the bumpers, but hopefully this will make me keep them for a while

Yeah, it is just tacked in now, then he is going to take it off, fully burn it in, paint it, then reattach it. Hopefully all I will have to paint is the burnt spots and maybe a second coat on the exterior side.

Brought the Jeep home yesterday. PJ at M&M Offroad did a fantastic job and a great price.

All that is left to do is spray the outside of the tube.

So far no rust, it is sitting in the garage right now and hopefully I will get some paint on it tomorrow (battling a bad cold right now and breathing spray paint probably won't help it ). It would probably last four or five days before it would rust.

Yep, they still open, not all the way, but enough for someone to get in.

Yep, just the angle, all doors open, and the windshield wipers even still work (but changing the blades might be a b*tch now. I will get some side shots once I finish painting, it is all masked for painting now.

Nice build man!! Ive been following this and was pretty bummed when that monkey stoved his Subi under your rig. Glad to see shes up and going again. Nice exo build too. Cant wait to see her all painted up

Thanks Brian! I was so bummed when I saw the Subi under the jeep, but in the end the jeep is better off than before with the 1 ton steering, and now with the exo cage, I think she is much more protected.

Nice! Also, looks like you are going to have the same issues as me with changing the windshield wipers. Since I'm going to be doing a lot of "little" things that I've been putting off, modifying my wipers is on my todo list since my current wipers need changed. I'll let you know what I come up with. SB406 seemed to think it'd be pretty easy to modify them, but I haven't looked into it yet.

Jared, I will take any pointers you have. The windshield wipers work but there is not room to pull them back to change them. Also my washer fluid no longer sprays on my windshield so that kinda sucks, but the pros certainly out weigh the cons.
