nah, don't pay someone else to do it, you can do it yourself.

just loosen the nuts on the drag link adjustment sleeve and twist it a bit until your wheel is straight again.

if its a DD or if it sees street driving he should take to a professional, they have machines that can do what an eye ball or tape measure cant. sounds like the OP did take it to a shop and they returned it like that though. take it back because centering your steeringwheel is part of an alignment.

yeah, you should always get a print out with an alignment. Just because it drives straight, doesn't mean the angles are within spec. You can run a car with more Toe in than necessary and have it drive straight, but will wear you tires super fast, etc. Take it back, raise hell, and get it done right. Remember, he who bitches the loudest usually will get what he wants. I'm surprised the steering wheel wasn't centered- it's a super easy adjustment to make. Did you have them adjust your Caster with the new arms, and possibly center the axle? Might cost more, since it's more than the factory adjustment, but worth it. And get a print out.

Thanks guys, I am going to take it back there on Thursday after work. Then that will probably be my last visit to that shop.

Changing the orientation of the steering wheel does not effect driveability of the vehicle.

I agree, if you paid the shop for the alignment, they should have done that for you.

I have had the jeep in the garage for what seems like forever, but it finally has a new coat of paint on the roof. I do not have a sprayer, and didn't want to do a rattlecan job, so I was left with rolling and wet sanding. I used JD Blitz Black, and for a roller job, I think it turned out OK.

Here are some before and after pictures of the roof. I think I am going to wait a while before I even prep the rest of the jeep (I am tired of her sitting in the garage).

Not as bad as yours was, but on it's way there...

I really think it is a 93 thing, because most of them that year have problems with the paint on the roof and the hood. Just don't take yours to the pressure washer... or you will have a primer grey/white jeep (ask me how I know).

I don't seem to do anything fast so now after having the KOR LP-1 sliders sitting in the garage for over 6 months, I am finally getting around to installing them. I also painted the side grey plastic cladding black.





I didn't have any help putting the sliders on, and I really don't think a helper would have made it any easier really




I also repainted the front grill since it had already started to chip.


Overall the install went OK, those self tapping bolts that you have to use for the "frame" take a little while to get started, and I also don't think you could do this install without a right angle extension on your drill. After all is said and done, these slifers are extremely strong. I am about 280, and I can stand on the sliders and bounce up and down and they do not budge. Very high quality, which is par for the course with KOR stuff.

Did you tape the Plastic prior to paint? or remove/paint/reinstall? Also have a white ZJ, have considered doing the black cladding as well...

Goosed, I left the cladding on the jeep and just taped it up. I did the passenger side first, and afterwards realized that I did not tape up high enough, so I had to wet sand some of the overspray off the door. For the driver side I just taped much higher and it came out fine. The whole jeep is getting a coat of black paint come fall, so I was not really worried about over spray.

Sweet- thanks. I've considered doing this with a cheap Maaco paint job to hide the paint that is flaking off on the roof/hatch and doors- either doing white again, or something else, Caution Orange? lol

Goosed, I have thought about doing the rest in yellow as well! haha

Elliott, yep, he hit a deer about a year ago and his jeep was totalled, I tried buying them off him but he already sold the entire jeep to someone else. I ended up buying the bumpers from that other guy.

Well I guess we must both think alike. I was kinda hoping I would be the only one around here with the tube doors, but guess not, haha
