I was thinking of trimming up Wobbles or Wobblina as she's now being referred to around my house a little more this spring. I could see her sporting this look - more dents and all (okay Dave here's your chance for another "if I actually wheeled my Jeep comment" )

missed the full hydro.. sorry about that.

i saw the pic on the lift with the drag link, and assumed from there.

I am stoked to have found a site that really deals with the harder core stuff for these grands. so many people give me a weird look when i tell them i am building a grand.. they have no clue what they are capable of!

    flame on!

LSRGreg, you should start another thread if you want to talk about your stuff.

action fab, awesome rig. Are you planning on keeping this mostly ZJ, or are you eventually cutting more unibody off?

it decided to have all the weld on parts straight plated, instead of spray painting.. the company i work for drops thousands a week on plating, so it hardly cost me a dime.. my bad for making it look a little different

back to regularly scheduled thread.. sorry for interupting..

Pretty sure jealousy isn't the issue here....

action fab, did you buy it the way it was in the first pic with the pretty red paint or did you build it yourself? just curious, nice rig either way.

If I remember correctly he bought it off someone on Pirate. I could be wrong though.

I have to see this for myself...

What do you do if you have to weld to this? Plating generally can not be removed.

No I traded my buggy to a close friend of mine. He bought it from KOZ about a year prior. When he bought it the jeep still had the doors and top, but he cut that off. when I got it it looked like this...

    now it looks like this

I didn't build it, but have just about rebuilt every thing but the suspension, rockers and bumper.

I plan to tare it down this summer and re build the whole rig. Shave the diffs, rework the rear suspension, new fuel sys. new cage, baclkhalf with Comanche bed/tailgate, 44" Rockers, on 17's, and a few other small mods.

I run an Off-road shop and build rock crawlers for a living. So it's kind of embarrassing that I wheel a rig built by another shop. So to remidy the situation I am trying to make as much of this rig my work as possible.

Cool, I was under the impression a the rig of the month requirement was that you built it yourself, am I incorrect on this?

The Comanche backhalf sounds interesting... never seen it done on a Grand. Has anyone else done this already or will you be the first?
