Well, I have everything off... but the exhaust is in the way of dropping the oiil pan completely. From the How To thread I read on here it looks like you should just be able to remove the crossover pipe but mine is one piece all the way back. I assume I'll just have to cut it?

I hacked off the exhaust and still not enough room...

I disconnected a bunch of front suspension components and I was able to get it down this afternoon. I pulled the bearings in the first two sets of bearings and they were definitely shot. I had a mechanic from the place my mom works come over and inspect and he seems to think I saved the crank journal just in the nick of time. So I have my fingers crossed that a set of bearings and an oil pump will get the job done. She might be running by later this week.

For the tires, I really haven't gotten enough miles on them to give a complete review, but I don't have any complaints so far. They are made of a pretty hard compound so road noise is really bad, the wear seems rather normal, and the tread pattern seems to work pretty well. For $70 each, I love them.

    Oil Pump
    Main Bearings
    Rod Bearings
    Oil Pick up Screen
    Oil Pan gasket

Parts should be in by Wednesday.

Thats on the "To Do" list as well!

This is really my first adventure into anything motor related so I've done a shit load of research on this site, JeepsUnlimited, NAGCA, NAXJA, etc!

One more question... I had oil pressure fluctuation prior to the knock. I assumed it was the sensor switch and replaced it but it didn't seem to get the job done. Should I assume that the oil pressure issues were due to the bearings and that after this round of fixes everything should be A-Okay?

Pump could have gotten metal in it. After you put it all together and see how it does. Even after a new sending unit my readings fluctuated. Could be a wire or the guage is bad. You could hook up a mechanical guage and get a reading that way

Fixed and running better than ever! Pressure seems to be holding steady and the noises are all gone.

Now all I need to do is have the exhaust welded back together after I hacked it into pieces. Band clamps just aren't getting the job done!
Thanks for all the help guys!
