Hello, Im new here to mallcrawlin and I have been on jeepforum for a while and I think that mallcrawlin is up my ally. I am now in the process of buying scrap metal to make a new front bumper, which I will most likely need your help from..

Heres what I have done to it so far:
    3" Rustys Front Springs
F>R with the old front 4.0 springs, measure exactly 3"
    Front IRO Adj. Track Bar
    Black Diamond Shocks
Hella 500's, HIDs, Full Alipine sound system
    And other goodies

    Plans:
    Homebrewed bumper
    Homebrewed Sliders
Homebrewed Rear tire carrier with hitch attachment
Most likely a roof rack of sorts

Heres a picture the first day I got her after a nice wash:

With new shoes.. and a new front bumper (old one was all cracked and faded)

Then took off the cladding, then cut the bumper..

Then came the lift! (Just the front installed..)

Then came the 31's - which i eventually got rid of (too small )

Then came the 32's Maxxis Bighorns

    And now:

maybe you had good luck with his stuff. My personal experience installing his long arm kit sucked like hell, nothing lined up correctly and it was a pain in the ass, his front coils are insanely stiff and do not flex at all, as well with his leaf packs for xjs

just food for thought, sorry to hijack your thread man, you still running the low pinion 30 and 35 rear?

Yeah the axles are completely stock. Im going to the scrap yard soon to get some metal for my new bumper, and I was also thinking of some sliders too.

Rustys coils arent too bad, although I have a very annoying knock in the front. Its on the drivers side and the coil is hitting the stock track bar mount and I cant get that spring away. I was thinking about shortening my track bar all the way to push it more towards the drivers side, but its centered now. Just some little things wrong with her, but shes alot better than when I first got it.

Can anyone give me some dimensions for ZJ rock sliders. I want to make them myself but I want the measurement say from JCR or something. Does anyone know the measurements or can give me a rough estimate?

I'd hook up with you guys, but the ZJ currently has a for sale sign in it, last thing I need to do is break something, or trash the body. Looking to buy an XJ or an MJ.

Think it's more of that I bought a shit box of a ZJ to start with, I've put several hundred into it already, and have nothing to show for it. Bought it with a missing RF axle shaft(just the stub shoved into the knuckle- all twisted and destroyed), had to replace the exhaust manifold(common), valve cover gasket, rear main still leaks, had to rebuild the rear diff(needs rear shafts, but am a bit broke at the moment), all the brakes were shot, had a tire with a bulge in the sidewall a few months back, needed a tune-up desperately, needs paint, etc... My brother has a 91' XJ with the RE 5.5 Long Arm kit, there is more after market support, meaning alot of stuff is generally cheaper, and lifting a leaf sprung vehicle is cheaper than buying links and coils, and I'm on a budget....

Well, 3 inch isn't going to do it, usually. My brothers is running Rubicon LA's, and those add-a-leaf kits don't flex and ride like shit. They can flex, it just more than your basic lift. Bro has the 5.5" springs(sits at 6") and plans to go to 8" springs when the leafs start to sag. The XJ's just seem less complicated, and cheaper overall. But I think that plan is being scratched, keeping the ZJ for now, a shit storm just blew through at work- and I caught the head winds...
