So I picked up a 1994 zj with 33xxxx kms last year and have decided that its time to do some work on it.
First things first the rear bumper has completely rusted out and fallen off so im going to do some welding to the frame to replace the rusted/ing out rails and then weld me up a bumper. Future plans are the front to back swap as i have no money for long arms and the like.
If you see anything im doing wrong feel free to shout... first time really doing any body work
the rust on its way to being welded

any insight appreciated
p.s. as i am new am i allowed to do the no clicky clicky? thought i saw something about it in the noob section
Just in case you haven't thought of "everything"

My $.02 but I haven't had to repair that area, yet, but I might sleeve it or at least run it up the outer edge of the rail too..
thanks, when i do the welding im going to be dropping the tank and getting right up underneath there, but my time is limited since i will have to do that at school. so i
think the plan is to tack it in place so that i can get started on the bumper and wait until i have more time to run my beads
as for the sleeving i am thinking i will cut pieces for the side walls and weld them up at the same time i do my beads
So i walk in to buy front U-joints today and use my buddys discount from being a wash boy at a local trucking company. Turns out he gets 40% off and im kinda stoked on that... so i walk to the front desk, 2 U joints in hand , go to pay for my U joints and turns out they only put on of em on the invoice...
23$ for my two front U-joints... not badd
also got word today that a guy i know has an np242 off of an 88 cherokee for me for 100$... gonna possibly pick up front springs from him as well
