We did a few days down around Hite, Utah camped out around Lake Powell and did a loop through Red notch, Paiute Pass and Rainbow canyon. We were the first people through there for what looked like a while and at one point had to cut back the Tamrisk and remake a road into the was leading to Rainbow canyon. The sand hill we used to decend into the wash was the challenge at the end of our 13 hour day to get up after coming down it. We ended up winching 6 rigs up it but I gave it my best shot . Full trip report will be in the Utah Four Wheel Drive Assosiation Newsletter next month.
Nice awesome views. Isn't it a little cold to be swimming ? :O
It wasn't to bad. 70's during the day and the water was probably 60ish. I would call it refreshing.
